Oh, Hume deserves something nice.

The Varich clicks his heels, and inclines his head "Lord Hume. " Then pets away that interesting pen, and gathers his lap top. Then withdraws.

12 is sent to tail the "guest" and keep tabs.

Hume watches him go, then mutters "It's the 21st century man, get over it already"

12 watches the 'Guest'... who, it turns out, has a room far from the library provided. Clearly, Delores is not blind to the possible tension that might arise between Miss Zara and this fellow

Feh. She does not trust him, though Varich and Dougal are known to have decent relations.

He does not appear to have deceived Hume, though he may have an ulterior motive for visiting Earth Runes...

And so, Darksun #13 has a tail upon him. For now, he settles into his guest room.

And Zara? Zara feels her curiosity threatening... about this Varich's purposes, about that pen, and yes, about that Violin. For Hume does not play.

Nyaahhhhaarrgghhhh!

It has forever been her curse. She can fight it. Or she can at least direct it

What does he do with that treasure?

For now, to her annoyance, Hume does NOTHING. HE closes it again and stores it on a shelf which reveals nothing

Selene is a perceptive Piskie,, but not THAT perceptive

Hearing her come, Lord Hume hides the violin

Oh, that does make sense, perhaps...

"Hume?" A gentle voice

"just a second" He make sure it's out of sight then opens the door "Selene, hi" And he kisses her

Selene returns the kiss, but when they part she blushes "i'm here to actually CLEAN your room, not.. uhm.. the nice stuff"

'oh, uhm," He blushes and tries to hide his worry. Zara can see his problem, if she cleans his room she might uncover it

Zara squirms, to drop down into the hallway beyond Hume's room.

A gentle rap on the doorframe - after all, like Batman, sluagh have a way of just appearing.

"Oh, you have a guest" Selene says, "My timing is terrible"

"A guest? Oh yes" Hume says "Ah..come in?"

"Oh, beg pardon. I meant not to interrupt. Pray, this should not take overlong, Miss Selene?"

"Oh, no trouble at all, Miss Zara, I'll just do another room first instead" She smiles "Not the library, of course. I know you prefer Ivanna's special touch there"

"My lord" She curtsies to Lord Hume, her eyes bright, and withdraws

Lord Hume smiles as she walks away, admiring the view, then turns "oh uhm.. sorry, Miss Zara. How can i help you?"

"Mm. I suspect we should use our time wisely?"

"She may not be a boggan, but I believe that she would make haste to rejoin your company. So!"

Not sure he comprehends, he neverthe less nods "Okay. She might be back soon so I.. OH. OH. You did that to ...help me?"

She presses a finger to her lips. "Speak not of it."

"I, oh... I hath had some malfunction with mine phone. I have told you this, nay? If you are asked, you may honestly answer so."

A smile "You're very kind. And I'd be happy to help with your phone, but I'm not sure where to hide her gift. She cleans everywhere" An admission as he gets the case carrying the fiddle out

"...except the library?"

"True, that's ..." the clue sinks in "Miss Zara, you're brilliant. Would you mind hiding this in your library for me? "

Zara smiles, just a bit. "I suppose I may."

"Now, before she re-emerges?"
