"Rest well, and if you wish the Balefire, I'm sure Steward Delores can make accommodations."

"I will" She nods and moves into her room "Check on me later?"

"Of course." (and he will)

And in she goes. He can tuck her in if he likes, but she does go to bed and not for the sterotypical fiona reason

August will tuck her in if she needs the help.

She seems to but she might just be glad to have him do it period. And pale, she curls up and... drifts to sleep

August will support her in, and ensure she's cared for, and tuck her in before departing.

And that's done.

In the hallway he sees Bachdion looking worried

He straightens his clothing for a moment, shoves the hair out of his eyes with a casual swipe, and ... ah, Bachdion. He nods. "Sir."

"August? What's going on? " Worry

"Ah.... perhaps ... a ... one of the staff might be better suited to answer that? Ah, Steward Delores or....??"

"What? I was told you brought Leonora in and she was not well. August, what's going on, please?"

"Ah. Shall we... ah, withdraw for a moment?"

he straightens then says "Yes? Of..course" He says

August nods and together they go to some room for privacy.

THey find a private parlor rarely in use

"Shall I call for refreshments? Perhaps there's something here...." he turns to rummage.

A bottle of brandy, two glasses, relatively clean

"Here we go. Ah, if you like?"

"Why not?" He nods approval "August. Is Leonora okay?"

He pours. "She is. She is resting and not fully healed, but she is going to be fine."

"Fully healed?" A frown but he nods "Okay. " He takes his glass once it is filled

Well, filled for a brandy snifter; a palmful.

"Healed from what?" A drink "What happened?"

"I'm afraid I don't have details. I would think if you were to visit her tomorrow she'd might be able to talk."

"That is, not that she can't talk now, but she's resting."

Frustration crosses his features, but it passes, "All right. What DO you know about it?"

"This is third-hand information." August advises first.

"Duly noted" He says

"Dame Leonora attempted to stop a mugging. There were more muggers than she saw, first. They were victorious, but she escaped and Earl took her to the DeBuke Farm to heal."

"Thank goodness she got free of that" he says with a sip.

"I am." He agrees.

A smile at that "Of course. There are times I envy your faith, my friend. It's got to be a comfort at moments of ... intense worry"

"It is."

"I have the most irrational urge to scold that girl" a sip

"I am not an expert, and Healer Emma is away, but one might wait until she, Leonora, has her feet under her."

"Oh, I know the urge is irrational... more likely when I see her I'll want to hug the stuffing out of her instead. Thanks for calming me down before I stormed in there while in such a mood though"

"You are welcome."

"I hope the mugging victim or victims she went to help got away"

"As do I."

"Tell me, how are you doing?"

"Ah, oh, I'm very well." he smiles "Looking forward to my professional career."

"You're going to be great, my friend" A smile "Dedicated as you are"

"Well we shall see. For now, a paralegal, helping others."

"Working with that boggan fellow or a local firm?" Curious

"The local firm I've done internships with." He confirms.

"Well, they're often charity and pro bono focused if I recall?"

"They are."

"Sounds like a good fit both ways then" pleased
