"So when is college over this year for you?" Thrust

Parry. "Well... I wanted to...." Riposte! "... finish an extra seminar.... so... June."

"An extra," parry in return, counter strike attempt "Month? My word, you're dedicated. I shouldn't be surprised. "

Parry, riposte, thrust!

This time a hit gets through with a light tap "A score! Excellent! Two out of three?"

"If you like." he steps back and removes his mask to drink; a short break before they reengage. "I wasn't sure I wanted to take the course but..."

He does like wise, "But? You hope to graduate earlier"

"Well, I would have graduated in April with Coradel but we spoke and I wanted this seminar. So."

"Ah, well, " A smile "Coradel will be proud of you"

A long drink "And we'll be proud of you"

A gentle smile "While that is welcome, I can't say that's why I've done this."

"I know, you've got an aversion to glorifying yourself, lad. You'd make a terrible Fiona, but you're a good man, and worth celebrating"

His lips quirk "That's... quiet a compliment, coming from you. Thank you."

A chuckle "Well, if it helps, I fear I'd make a terrible liam... oh I enjoy the academia, like sons of adam and daughters of eve, but I lack the modesty and level of dedication to the dreamers"

"You are very strongly dedicated to your own Dreamers." August points out, wiping his face with a towel "Queen Bess."

"Oh I have selfish bias there, my friend, and a Liam would defend a stranger as much as the mother of his sons. There's the difference on my part. I would definitely strive harder for my heart's sake for the lady "

August thinks about it. "It isn't that Liam treat everyone in their lives in the same way, with the same energy. There are those who are dearer to us."

"Truly? " Interested "I've noticed a great amount of equal effort among your house but true I can only guess by the surface. So if it means a loved one or a dreamer you barely know, you put the former first?"

A sad smile. "We're only human."

"If I had to chose between Coradel and a Dreamer.... it would eat at me for the rest of my life but... I know what I would choose."

A pat on his shoulder "Knowing you, you'd put Coradel first, but you'd rush right back after the Dreamer next. And... knowing Coradel?" A wink "She's help you save the dreamer because she wouldn't wnat you hurting"

A soft chuckle. "I suspect you are correct."

"Shall we lay on?"

"Let's," A grin

And masks go back on, and blades are drawn

And fencing and fellowship resume!
