"Ah. Ah. Ahhhhh.... are you ok to get home? Need a ride or anything?"

"Yes, in point of fact I do" the dream soul smiles "Just to borrow, not to keep, oh hypocrrite son of the Tuatha"

Alexis, of course, doesn't hear or see any one but August "I was just going to take the bus"

"Let me give you a ride." He says firmly "My car is just over there." He offers his arm as a proper escort.

"Well, thank you, Augustt" She allows this, and blushes

The being sighs "So much for a good day"

He escorted to the car, unlocked her door and lets her get in, then closes the door and looks at the being with steady gray eyes.

It watches.. adhene? one of the denizens... but which sort?

The Denizen shivers, then looks about

"You're not welcome here. Be gone." He orders, and then makes his way to his own door.

"I.. what did you say? " Alexis asks as he gets in

The Denizen leaves

"Ahhh....a quick prayer. For safety. On the roads." and he takes her home, or to her next appointment.

they drive for a bit "If it was anyone else I'd wonder if you were hitting on me"

"Me?" startled "Ah, no, forgive me.... ah, that is.... I, ah... I'm married."

"I know, to a beautiful girl too, that's why I say if it were anyone else"

"Ah. Yes. Ah... Thank you." and that seem genuine.

"Thank YOU," She smiles "You saved me at least 15 minutes. the bus is fine but it takes a bit"

"Using public transportation is social justice one day at a time." he approves "I'm happy to help." Of course, he drives a Prius.

"Ah, there it is" She points to a Duplex "Like your car."

"Like... my car?"

"I'm sorry" She blushes "I should be more exact. 'I' like your car" She says as it stops

"Oh!" he laughs, and it's wonderful "Thank you. I've been driving it for a while, since I started driving. It's not new or flashy but it's paid for, and mine."

"As long as it rolls, Isaac would say but I like that you care about the environment" She steps out "Thank you again"

"Oh!" he steps out on his side and to the curb. He can't get her door but he doesn't just sit there. "You're welcome."

"See you at class. " And she heads to the Duplex, the left one.

She frowns at the right side where a sports car hangs... and seems to move quicker

as if avoiding being seen from a window

"Sure...." August takes a few steps forward, as if making sure she makes it in safely.
He's TOTALLY making sure she gets in safely.

He sees a middle aged woman, glaring at him from the right side house's window. She pulls the curtains

"Good night." to his classmate.

She waves from her door, now out of any views but his, and she has relaxed and in she goes

And so he goes to his door.....observant about events around him but, he hopes, not obvious.

It would seem both side of the Duplex are now behind doors and curtained windows, making it hard to find any ot her details

August seats himself and....dials.

"Ahhh.... Hume?"

"August?" He says "Is it an emergency? I mean, you're using voice"

"If I gave you an address.... could you find out anything?"

"Sure. What's the address?"

August reads it out.

He says "Okay. I got the info on who lives there,, their numbers.... occupations, social media is coming up... why am I doing this?"
