She frowns. "August...I am about to have one of my angry moments about Lord Hume, again."

Delores comes out, with her, Rollo. "thane, take over for the baron. Please, lord and lady come in"

"Oh dear. Coradel, you're only hearing part of the story." he tempers "Please allow yourself room to get all of it."

"Oh you told her.." Delores nods

"I am trying," she assures August. Then a smile for Delores and Rollo. "Yes, let's go in." She leads the way into the hold and toward the balefire.

August walks with her.

After a nod to Delores and Rollo.

A distracted frown on her face, she reaches out to the balefire for a moment.

Then the turns to Delores. "My steward and friend...make this make sense for me."

August offers to take Coradel's coat and things.

She lets him do so, but hopes he'll pass them off to one of the staff so he can remain on hand.

"Silverwolf called, matter of right of rescue... turns out a Rivervale troll is on the trods and a huge winter storm... it could endanger the firebrands..."

A blink. "The firebrands are in danger?"

"Lord hume... well, sent Sergei, that dog he got from there... but asked for volunteers to help" She sigghs "It's a fiona hold, lady."

(August does, yes, and divests himself of his coat and things as well.)

That gets a smile from Coradel. "Ah, my brave people. Well, I should go after them." She reaches for her coat again.

"AH, Lord Hume was in charge, but apparetly Daria pointed outt they COULD Die... and then, to prove himself, he ran off . Selena is worried to death"

"Selena?" puzzled.

He motions for the coats and things to come back....

"the piskie maid.. yes she's easy to forget about despite beig a lovely girl"

"Ah! Yes, yes of course." sheepishly.

"Baroness... with Lord Hume gone, you should stay here to.. rule?"

She pauses, frowning. "And you say he took thanes and knights with him?" Another pause, then a frustrated curse. "The burden of duty is a pain in the ass, sometimes."

August waves the coats and things away again, quietly.

"I think it's the wisest course." gently.

"Hmph!" she pouts.

"Leonora, honoria, jennette, Magnus... oh OSWALD took the tauntaun. they volunteered, all of hem. Then he followed, with Daria"

"Well, it's very heroic of all of them," she grants with just a little resentment. "Fine...fine."

August steps away just a bit to pour Coradel a glass of wine.

"Well, herroic or not, Lord Hume depleted half our warriors" A huff

She accepts the glass when he brings it. "Thank you, my love. And Delores, thank you for holding things together here. I think you'll need to excuse us for a bit, though. August, let us talk for a while." She nods in the direction of their room.

"Welcome." a quiet murmur.

"Of course" And she curtsies

"Yes, of course..." he nods to Delores and follows Coradel to their chambers.

As they go down the hall, she slips her free hand into his. "I have news also," she says quietly.

"You were called to the County.... to the Countess. Was it related to the sluagh here and what they went through? Zara had a request...."

"It does, indeed. And I'd love to hear Zara's request. It might influence what I do next." They go into their room and (much to the annoyance of whatever boggans might have been in hearing range) they shut the door.

"What is Zara's request?" she asks once they're within.

"She... she feels that the situation in that Varisch hold should be resolved by Sidhe. She mentioned Lady Halina."

"It's an entirely different -duchy-. I told her I would speak to you about it."

A blink. "She...she is recommending a Varich take over the hold?"

"I, ah, I don't think so." Carefully "She... didn't say -exactly- what she wanted. Except that Sidhe should handle it."

"Perhaps we should ask her to join us, to discuss."

"If you wish."

"Ah, perhaps we should go to her?"

She hesitates, momentarily torn, but then nods. "Yes, to the Library."

"Are you sure?" watching her.

A nod. "My news can wait until we hear her plan. And perhaps she should hear my news, as well."

"Then... let's go to the library."

And they do.
