While Imbolc is not here yet.., Valentine's Day is not far behind, and tthe idea of heroic romance comes easily to her muse

Isephemia has been declared off limits from Pooka pranking, Emma didn't even have to order it. isis and poppy seemed to take one look at the miserable little sluagh girl and declared it so. Of course , Enrii wouldn't anyway. the small childling is a runty thing, one can almost imaginne Emma in possum form able to carry her

Technically her name is Isephemia Pernicious, or perhaps it's the other way around? her wounds are all healed up, she's been fed, but some scars of physical nature remain, some of emotional nature definnitely do. She wakes up hissing in tthe middle of the night because she can't scream. She flinches at paintings or even drawings of the sun

But around Emma and other pooka, she seems to calm, to relax

No matter how noisy they get

Which can be quite impressive. Emma herself is fairly quiet, in a sea of chaos.

Emma is also coloring, but she has a crayon held in her tail! Poppy, Enri and Isis have books and crayons available, but seem to have devolved in a game of pounce.

Isis is lifted to his shoulder to perch if she may in a high spot - and then promptly ruins it by sinking to sit on the ground.

She moves behind his big hair, then suddenly Isis is a girl again and hugging Vince "Vince, my hero. I was out numbered by dogs" A sniff at her poodle brother and poppy who is a catona something something hound

Emma looks up and smiles.

The possum daintily finds another coloring book (Lion King, how apropos) and a box of crayola to offer Vince.

"Well now, Princess, I will always protect you." He states, and lifts her up easily to sit on his shoulders. Still a large man even in human form, this lifts her face away from puppy-lickable-zone, though her toes may still be in peril.

"Oh, oui oui! Le King!" He says, in a terrible accent.

He looks to Isephemia. "And how are you today, mon cheri?"

Vince is suddenly entranced in coloring a picture of Mufasa, though in PROPER red and grey (silver) color.

Isephemia holds up her book in answer "Casper is a friendly ghost. "

"I am glad I have you as a friend. I am afraid of ghosts, oui? But cher shall make friends and protect this scaredy-possum."

the little sluagh girl blushes but smiles and buries her head into Emma's side

"Oui. Joeys need lots of hugs. They are very petite." She wraps an arm around the girl.

Isis says "Isephemia is partt of my court now. We will neeed her warrior strengh to face the shadowpaw threat"

Enri holds up a hand ready to ask something

Isis answers "No , Enri, you may not join the shadowpaws"

Enri puts his hand down. Yes, he ttoo has changed back

Emma raises a brow.

Isephemia whispers (Because she must) to Emma "Who are the shadowpaw?"

"Oh, the Shadowpaw are FAR too secret for a grown up to know about."

Isephemia's eyes light up, and she nods "Ah. I understand, like the war between the birds and bees is too secret for childlings and if we knew we'd justt ggo 'eeww'"

Poppy, now in two legger form, says "Bees git up by Frogs, and Birds head south for Winter sales" Sagely

Vince praises them all in turn for their wisdom and knowledge. "Thank you for informing this dull old tomcat, I do say that court does not teach one nearly as much."

"Now Izzy, I had heard a rumour. Oh, May I call you Izzy? It sounds rather like a riddle, Is she or Isn't she, and you do know how us Sphinx enjoy our riddles. That is, I heard a rumour that there is an entire gallon of heavy cream being set to sour for haut chocolat, which is my next favorite thing after haut coutere.
