Zara plucks one of her white hairs and winds it into the compass' holder. The needle spins to point at her.

"I've never been to Red Oak but I can get us close"

Zara nods. "I thought so. Is there aught you need gather? We should make the Farm aware."

"Earl, a hair?" She holds out a hand.

He lowers his head "I sould probably get my chain shirt, a bi of dross"

She plucks a hair.

"Thy sword?"

Earl's hair is carefully folded in a packet of paper.

"that I had.." Sheepish " But be right back" And he ggoes to get the armor ad dross

"Velvet - if Earl and I are not returned in... mm.. three days time? This compass will lead to the one whose hair is held."

"If... if one hair does not work, you should try the other."

"I shall... but miss zara, a varich trainin camp?"

She sees his raven head bowed over a book.
