"Ah... no. I will probably speak with Coradel about that, too." he clears his throat, sips; it is no secret that Carnivale is not his -favorite- holiday.

"Donn'tt worry, we'll take care of her. We always do" Assuring

"Yes." August says seriously "You do. And I am very grateful for it, and you."

"Also, she sometimes even has fun. Good sportt, your wife"

He nods, grey eyes sober.

"you all right, my friend?"

"Yes, I'm fine, sir. Thank you for asking. Ah... you seem well."

"I am.. fit as a fiddle"

"An antique, but a fiddle" A grin

A small smile. "I understand violins gain resonance with age."

"I like that. I'll use it. thank you"

"Please do." a salute with his teacup.

A knock on the door to August’s study. “August?” Coradel calls softly.

((The bannerhouse room, but all good!))

August looks up sharply and rises, setting down his cup to go to the door. "Yes......" he opens it.

She beams at him. “Hello, my love!” She reaches up to claim a kiss. “Am I interrupting?”

"Nnnmmmm" It was almost a response, swallowed by the kiss. When they part, he finishes "No, not ... I don't think so. Sir?" he turns to reveal Bachdion.

"No. I was just about to go " A wink

“Oh, I didn’t know you were here!” She moves past August to kiss Bachdion on the cheek. “How are you, teacher mine?”

"I'm well. Looking forward to Carnivale. Auggust three canidates for King or queen"

“Oh?” A hand on Bachdion’s shoulder, she turns to August. “I knew you were collecting possible candidates. You’ve narrowed the pool to three?”

He nods, and offers her a set of folders.

She glances them over, and blinks at one of them. “Oh…this lady is…quite old….” Dubiously.

"I am sure she has resonance."

“Resonance?” A puzzled look. “Is this some new dreamer quality I haven’t learned of yet?”

"Ahh... no. I meant only that age should not limit Dreams."

“True. You don’t think the exertion would be too much for her? Because if not…well, I think she’s the one that intrigues me most as Queen.”

"If I may? If she should expire of age that very night, while we would never want that, it would be oe hell of a send off" the grump says "Like a satyr's last dance"

“Oh…that’s true. August? Could you…would you be able to accept that?”

“The last thing I want is for you to feel guilty for something after Carnivale.”

"She seems healthy for a mortal that age." August confirms "I haven't tried to get medical records but....."

“Well, then! Marianne for Queen!” She hands him back the folders.

"Hail to the queen" A chuckle "Ah, but I must go." the satyr waves "Enjoy the couple time"

and off he trots, wine in hand

He bows slightly "Marianne for Queen." a confirmation.

And takes the folders to file them.

“Good night!” She calls after Bachdion. Then a smile to August. “Well, there’s that business done. Do you have any other obligations right now? Or…” she smiles “…may I monopolize you?”

"I am entirely yours." he says truthfully.

“Exactly what I wanted to hear…” she purrs, and claims a lingering kiss that leads…to more.
