Jack watches her go, then looks over at August "August... would you say we're friends? NOt.. die hard, but we can be honest with each other?"

"I would hope so, Jack?" he watches where Rachel went, and sighs "I shouldn't have said anything?"

"I didn't think sidhe pLAYED godmother to famliies ... wwht you got there looks like boggan classic material..." A beat "A few nocker, some sluagh. "

"Rachel and her family are.... special circumstances."

":I see.. so you called Dibs yet?" He asks matter of factly

Something about the word dibs might stir a memory. the family is marked. Clearly under Truthbranch protection

"Dibs?" uncertainly "They are under my protection."

"I, ah, I have no other designs on any Castle."

"August, you're thinking like a Liam, which is fine, you are one, one of the best guys of that hOuse I know.. but.. others don't think like that. What they'll see is potential dreamers, or folks to prank, or play with"

"You should call dibs" He suggests

"There -is- a mark but.... yes. Some kind of published notice."

"Or at least spread it before every satyr decides Rachel is fair game for frolic or pooka for pranks. And I say that as a satyr. Rachel's good looking"

"Yes, she is." August stands "I'll draft something right away."

"Gotcha.. and I'll put the word out less formally"

"Thank you."

August heads out to draft a notice.... does he pass Rachel on the way?

Yup. Texting her brother

He pauses to wait on her attention.

She looks up and sighs "I told him she might be too wild for her. And NOW he's REALLY intrrigued" She rolls her eyes

August chuckles a little helplessly. "Well. At least he's aware."

"I, ah, I'm going to send out a notice regarding you and your family, Rachel. I want it known that you are under my protection, such as it is. I thought I would mention it before you see it."

"Thank you, lord. We remain your allies" She blurts

"And I, yours. You'll write down what you can remember?"

"DId you want me to write it down? I thought I wasn't supposed to keep anything that risked the right of ignorance?"

"In other circumstances you would be correct. These memories -must- be preserved, however, and if you will agree to only write of them while you are here, within the manor, and leave them here with me I think it will be safe enough."

"Oh, surely, I'll write them in your office?"

"Why don't we go there together and I can give you materials and you can write wherever you feel inspired as long as they stay here? You can pass them along to me before you leave."

"Yes, lord August" She gives a curtsey and off she goes

He'll go with her to supply her with paper and ink. "If you prefer to draw or paint scenes, I'm sure that would be fine too."

"Im not much of an artist..." She does go and soon is..well, making notes.. some of which seem rather stream of consciousness

August nods to himself, and finds his own supplies to draft a 'dibs' message.

And soon August has vinished. Rachel takes a bit longer

And thus his message is drawn up, copied as needed, and posted.

Folks read it. Shalimar asks "When you say 'Dibs' des that mean we can't fuddle her to think she's a stand up comedian in a seedy vegas casino?"

He didn't -actually- use the word Dibs; the language is a bit more elevated than that. However..... "Yes, it does. The entire family is covered by this."

"What about NOT Cantrips? Like say.. a home made creampie lobbed from a perfectually NORMAL Balista?"

"Fine. I'll go find my own magic family.. with black jack, and hookers.. you know what? Forget the black jack.. and the family.. oh crap Vasthi wouldd kill me.." he walks off muttering
