A frown. "Oh, trust me, they are already making me pay for Derynwydd's absence. I am not in their debt at the moment."

"My Lioness, you have neglected me fiercely. I hate to see that frown on your face. Give me but an hour, and I shall have it turned upside down."

"Even if it takes upending thy entire royal personage to accomplish such a feat!" He vows, loyally!

"Pray, take pity on me in my moment of weakness." He holds up the band-aid'd finger.

"We may pay visit upon brother mine as well, his skills of upside-downing are not to be denied..."

Emma fusses, twisting her tail in her hands. "I could stabilize a hundred mortals, but not a one? Oui?"

August sighs.

"Healer, I'm sure you could work wonders. But she's not in EarthRune's Demesne. She's in the Duke and Duchess's, which presents a issue of the Escheat, and diplomatic matters."

"And there's the issue of getting the mortal in question -to- you to work on."

"And that her family expects her to pass away in the hospital within the week after being in a coma for -years-."

"And that we are not especially eager to be associated with any of this at all, publicly."

He rubs his temple again.

Vince leads his Baroness off to meet with Bachdion (and perhaps a sweet interlude, if he can convince her of it!). Promising as they go that she may return forthwith... or never?

A look of real and genuine irritation crosses August's face. "Excuse me, Healer." and he marches away.... in the opposite direction.

"Now's not the time, Whiskers, but I do need to speak with Bachdion on this matter...." she says as they go, and hopefully her words travel to August's ears as he marches off.

Perhaps it did, or didn't, but August is off on some mission of his own.

Vince and Coradel find Bachdion...the satyr looks a bit weary but proud

"Teacher-mine!" Coradel greets him, reaching out to take his hands and offering a quick kiss on the cheek. "You look pleased. Did something happen?"

"We did some good, Ser Sergei annd his lady and I saved numerous birds of prey"

"I'm very glad. I've heard some reports from that area. It sounds dreadful."

"I've only just heard of your return from Whiskers," she reaches a hand back to Vince so that she's holding hands with both of them as they talk.

"I am so sorry" he squeezes her hand "I should have checked in right away, it's just Dame Calannthe had to get to Silverwolf right away , I couldn't send her there but I did whisk her to Scarsdale hat's close"

"Oh, that seems rather abrupt. I hope nothing went wrong between her and Sir Sergei."

"Not onn their end. Though Sir Sergei would be ired if I discussed his social life too freely , he seems as smitten as a meltingg glacier, which for him is a lot"

"Oh, my...I honestly wasn't sure he had it in him! Well, excellent. Now...I must tell you a bit of current news. There's far more, and I promise I will tell you both in time," she says, including Vince. "But there's a matter of immediate urgency. There's a woman, a former acquaintance of Chloe DuBois, in the hospital. She's in a coma after an apparent drug overdose...." More details, but not all the details of how Coradel found out about this, nor about Chloe's role in Rachel's condition.

"That poor woman" the satyr says with concern, "the system is truly treacherous. "

She nods. "I'm absolutely determined to get her out of the hospital, as is August. He and I don't completely agree about whether she has fae blood, but I'm betting she does, what with the coma and all. The trick is that we first need to get her out -- we're working on falsifying papers or something to get the mortals to bring her outside -- and then get her to a certain healing spring in Renaissance Fief." A little emphasis in her words. "And that part would need to be done quickly, once she's out."

At that, her mentor stops "Forgive me, but...why ? even if she is kinian, there are hundreds of daughters of eve in medical trouble. Why risk ignorance or banality for this one?"

A pause. "It's not a pretty story. I promise you I am planning on telling you later, but if you prefer to hear it now, I can."

"So there is a reason... mmm what if she is purely mortal?" he asks, switching tacts

"If she is, I would still see her healed and restored, if it can be done. Her life was taken from her, and I will not let the person win who had a part in doing so." Coradel looks as fiercely determined about that as she has about foes she has battled.

Bachdion gazes at her for a time By Dionysisus, she's magnificent

"As you wish" He kisses her hand "All I can do to to aid, I will do"

A smile at the words and a flush of pleasure at the kiss. "You delight me, teacher-mine," she says.

"Do you feel you have the strength to transport a mortal so far away, if it turns out that is what she is? I can contribute dross."

"With dross I can compensate for lack of familiarity."

She tilts her head. "Lack of familiarity? I thought you knew it well."

"Oh no. I mean Rachel"

"Oh, of course! Silly of me," she smiles.

"You've a lot on your mind" He states

"Truer than you know, teacher-mine. Well, that much is arranged. Excellent! Now, August was looking quite irritated when I left him. I should seek him out and tell him the good news. The pieces are coming together!"

"August? Openly irritated? Yes by all means go"

A peck on the cheek and off she goes
