She blinks...then nods slowly. "Then let us keep these secrets precious as they are, agreed? And...what other things exactly did you discover?"

"I'd prefer not to say , if there's no fior righ or way to shorten my wait for saining, then at least I can cheerish my own secrets" She huffs

She purses her lips at that...then grins. "Good for you. I think Dame Claire would have been disappointed in you if you had not bargained then."

A pleased look "Thank you"

"I will consult with Dame Claire and the Seer. They must also agree. But I will speak on your behalf for a shortened fosterage...and you will return to me my host's secrets, unshared. Agreed?"

"Agreed, and thank you, Baroness, for underrstanding" She nods "If I may advise? You might to either destroy that diary or put true security on it. Chloe DuBois did some jailable offenses"

She blinks and looks at August, then back to Minerva. "I see. Yes, thank you for that recommendation. Now..." with one arm firmly wrapped around the book "...we will take this and leave you to your work. I will get back to you about the rest." She moves towards the door where August is.

"Thank you, Baroness, Baron" She curtseys

"Oh, Minerva..." Coradel says, pausing, "you did well to find the secrets, but you may wish to be more careful in obtaining them. A simple Willow Whisper pointed to you."

"Drat. I did my best to throw off Chronos... I forgot to cover the simple solution" A fuss

Coradel nods. "Live and learn." And she takes August's arm so they can depart together.

August takes Coradel's arm, and escorts her.

Once away from Minerva's room, Coradel relaxes and shakes her head with amusement. "Well, that's not what I was expecting!"

"No."

She looks at the cover of the journal. "August...I think we should look over this together."

"If you're willing, that is. I will not force you, if you are not."

"I would very much like to see it, yes. Please."

She nods. "Let's get some tea brought to the room, and we'll begin."

August takes care of the tea order, and escorts Coradel to a place they can have privacy.

Once settled and served tea and secured, she opens the journal, and together they begin to read.

August reads, and also takes in the quality of the paper, the binding, the penmanship, the ink.....

August may blush over the narratives of some of her sexual exploits. Coradel mostly rolls her eyes at the lack of artistry described in same.

Coradel flips a few pages and scans. "Maybe there are more details in the other things Minerva found. Along with whatever other crimes Chloe may have done."

That's when they find the big one

August nods, and ensures she's supplied with tea.

She stops at a few disturbing words and starts re-reading....

August follows along... and grows ashen.

She reads, and her expression goes hard. "This world is MUCH better off without her," she declares firmly.

August holds onto the journal.... and carefully asks "May I... have this?"

She looks at him. "You want to try to find Rachel, don't you."

"I would like to know."

And there's also the bit about how she paid to have someone else take her ACTs

She nods to August. "I'm not at all surprised."

She shakes her head in disgust at the journal and closes it, letting him keep his finger on the page that describes Rachel, if he likes. "By all means, have it. It grows tiresome. I trust you to keep it secret and safe."

"I will."

"You will tell me if you learn of more of her misdeeds or crimes or abuses or...well...just don't hide things from me, August. Reading that may be tedious, but I need to know the summarized version."

"I will you everything I can think you'll need to know." he agrees.

She gives him a look. "Tell me everything of import, August, whether you think I need to know or not. Sometimes you try to protect me. I know I can't stop you from ever trying, but in this case, please don't."

She sighs. "Love, please forgive me, for I feel a need to tend to Samson. She was so cruel to him...." She stands.
