"Oh dear." August starts forward to retrieve it.

Coradel eyes the sword. "That's lovely."

"Careful, you could cut your head off!" The girl blushes

August pauses near it. "Is there an enchantment on it? Other than it's pen-form?"

"Best to leave it to its owner, August." She nods to Gail.

Emma perches on the girl's shoulder.

"Several.. it's ah.. meant to kill jabberwockys" She blushes

and pets the Possum even as she puts her hand on the ink black hilt "The Time has Not come" She delcares

and it turns into a pen again

Emma grooms the boggan's hair. Soothing.

Gail laughs at that "I'm.. it's just scratches.." A lot of little ones

"Very clever blade," Coradel says approvingly.

"Both a pen AND a sword" Gail blushes "Terribly sorry, Baroness. Baron. I seem to be worrying your healer. She's sweet though"

"I meant no offense, Ms. Liddle. Only to protect others from an accident with it." he smiles kindly, and returns to Coradel

Enri comes forward "There she blows? I mean Gale ? You bath is ready so you can change. You cann dunk the possum if you want?"

"Healer Emma, maybe you could go with Miss Gail so you can help her as she gets settled."

the girl does seem to be fascinnnated with the possum's cuteness

"Enri, you can show them the way?"

"Oui, " Enri leads her on "Here to the left you'll see the Librrary of dread... which has some great books but if you eat cheetos they drink you're blood... annnd there to the right.."

Gail Liddel goes after

Isis watches her brother go, then turns to the Baroness "She's got a story annd she hasn't learned how to share" Imperious brow

August nods. "I think you might be right, Isis, but we must respect her privacy and right to her own story, don't you think?"

"She will tell in her own time. And I feel she has more than just one story to share."

"So... what youre saying is.. no thumbscrews?" The kitten pooka sulks

"Well, Enri is gettinng used to them" ISis says then holds a book "The book mobile has a book about a great fashionnista" She holds up her SOCKS book, about a certain cat

Coradel crouches down to be closer to eye level. "Oh, I see! Quite the trend-setter."

"Yes, if only I had someone to read it with? " A BIGG Eyed look

August smiles over at Fadhilla; the childlings loved visiting her rolling library.

Coradel laughs. "Oh, I think I might be able to do that job. Excuse me, August, Fadhilla...I have been commandeered."

Fadhilla smiles "The girrl knows the value of a good story annd a warm lap"

Coradel lets herself be led away to a sunny nook for purposes of reading.

August watches her go raptly, then blinks and looks down before turning to Fadhilla. "While you're here, you should see our library and meet our librarian. If you like."

"I would be honored... I mostly deal in children's books.. is it true there is a bookwyrm there?"

August nods with a smile. "Bronte. A tyrant." but his tone is fond.

"Bronte? Oh that's a classy name"

the old woman smiles "If you don't minnd me sayingg, your wife is ggood to her childlings. Most wilder Fiona I know too busy going to parties"

August's eyes seek Coradel's nook. "Yes.... well, she is a remarkable person. And, she has been a mother in another life."

"Well, I find it commendable. Little ones are the best folks to tell stories too" As they head to the library

"The local library... the mortal one, that is.... had a 'read to the dogs' program. Before. I hope they bring it back."

She looks surprised "Did they now? Oh that will get the children going.. some adults oo"

August nods. "If they bring it back, I could see taking some of our childlings there."

"Oh I think Ludmilla would be all for that idea . Lovely woman your warder"

August stops, blinks. "Oh dear. Ah." He looks around; anyone passing by?
