Earl is having a bourbon

Which he nurses slowly

"What? " Earl trannslates "Oh no, no no.. I am NOT going to suggest 'adult' entertainment for the bachelor party. Zara would learn. She'd tell her sister. And Vashti would be.... brrr no. We're saving a life here NOT doingg that"

1122 protests! Wine, Women, song!

"Angry bride, terrible vengeance, thumb screws," Points out the artist

1122 is not afraid

"That's because you don't have thumbs" Earl tells him

Well played, humanoid, well played, but 1122 has not given up hopes for a Bachelor party worthy of Dionysisus

And the two men work, Earl swirls his Bourbonn slightly "I'm sorry, 1122, I'm not sure the 'Hemmingway for a day' plan is working for me"

"Hemmingway did more than SIP at the glass, kid" Jack the bartender snorts

1122 chuckles and takes a might swig of his own blood and ale mix. No timid celebrant he

And so Siv enters in, carrying her scroll

well, not HER scroll

She looks about, a smile to see the place again

Fortunately, it seems to be a light day for Coradel's court...but she can certainly be announced by herald if she wishes.

Or she might wait to catch up with the Baroness at lunch.

"Hey Innnish," A cough "Pardon me, good Herald. Could you announce me? It's semi official"

Coradel has just finished speaking with the last applicant, and is chatting briefly with Shallimar.

And Inish bows and then speaks out clear and loud "Lady Captain Siv Waveborn ap Fiona, come to deliver message from Chieftain Brekke Shacklebreaker of Rivevale. She requests a moment of the Baroness' time!""

Coradel looks over and beams. "Lady Captain! What a delight! Come forward."

She does and bows gracefully, "Baroness Coradel, if I may say, I like the summer court dress. " She has the scroll in hand

Siv herself is not wearing her best for court, no, she's clearly dressed for travel, though still respectable it's hard boots

"Why, how kind of you to say," Coradel smiles. Of course, it's not a kindness -- she's dressed in a light and flowing sleeveless gown of tan and beige with flowering vines embroidered all over it, buds of red and silvery dew drops predominant, and she is (naturally) gorgeous. "You come on business? Tell me, what's the news?"

"If I may?" She hands the scroll over "These are the words of my mother and Chieftain, a request that we think may be of great interest to you. I will answer any questions I can as well, of course"

Should she open and read it, the Baroness will find the following message: "Unto Baroness Coradel of Earthrunes does Baroness Brekke, Chieftain of Rivervale, send greetings --
Word has likely reached you of the arrival of centaurs in Concordia, and of how some had been hunted and captured. Their release has been accomplished, but they are still unsained fledges, and I endeavor to place them in holds that would best suit their temperaments.
One of them, Daria, is a fierce and spirited wilder who thirsts for combat. She is skilled already, and those skills will only increase with training. I know how well my daughter, the Lady Captain Siv, thrived under your hold's influence, and I think Daria would as well. Thus, I ask you to consider taking her in, at least until such time as she is sained.
Please consider this and advise me of your decision.

Coradel does read it, perhaps a bit bemused by the blocky trollish handwriting. And then she looks far more interested than simply bemused. "Oh! This is...well, this is definitely an interesting suggestion. Lady Captain, have you met this Daria that your Chieftain-mother mentions?"

"I have, she's much as mother says. Fierce and spirited. She longs for battle with an eagerness. She is not so interested in the courtly niceties I confess, but while unseelie, she seems willing and able to work with ohters quite well. I suspect she will be a steadfast friend to those that make the effort"

"Oh, she sounds like fun," Coradel says with a bit of eager glee. "And a centaur! Marvelous! I'd love to meet her. Let me have Innish craft a reply for you to bring back with you, but you'll stay long enough to enjoy a bite of lunch with me? It's been some time, and I want to hear you crow about your recent skirmishes." A grin.

"I would love to have lunch with you again, Baroness. Though I fear as soon as I get the reply I must be off"

"Oh, well, perhaps Innish won't need to rush his pen quite so much," she winks to her herald then confers with him about the wording of the reply -- the invitation to Daria, and the thanks to the Baroness for arranging this. And then Coradel says, "That's all for court, I think." She is out of her seat before Innish can even announce the close of the session.

And Siv finds herself being escorted to lunch by the Baroness. "Now, tell me more about these centaurs...."

Innish does announce it, after, and Siv is already walkin along "Oh, they're the most interesting kith in some ways. Hate being crowded or blocked off..."
