"Well then, we needs must find him. Where have you not looked, for there he is sure to be."

"Now, about your bottom, why would you suppose his to be in the air and not grounded? Upside down, smile to frown?"

"I, ah, I'm not sure I understand, Vince. I gather he may be upset. I thought to give him time, if that is so. To cool."

"If he must cool, wherein lied the heat? That is, I know how he MAY be heated, but never to the point where he would FLEE to cool down."

"There was an.... incident at the Saining. Involving Adam Thomas. Bachdion seemed upset. Among others."

"D'artagnon? D'tell me about it."

"I did not witness everything. Coradel ushered them out of the room promptly but.... it appeared that after his Saining, when he knew his True Name, Adam had a ... visitation of sorts. It sounded as though his chimera, who'd been destroyed, was speaking to him through his Dreaming-sent sword. He tried to cut his hand with it, there was... a bit of shouting back and forth... and then they left the room. Adam, his blade, his mentors, and Coradel."

"Coradel was... in a high temper afterwards."

"Sweet Nabuni? Nay!" He exclaims, incredulous. "This is a cause for celebration, not dismay? Humph. High tempers, alas, tis Fiona and Satyr, bound to butt heads."

A frown though. "Our Lioness, unhappy. Shall we find and remedy her mood?"

August sighs. "I have tried. Perhaps you would have better luck."

"How to help a lady when down on your luck? A stiff drink, a big smile and be ready to - " He pauses just a moment, then finishes "PLUCK her spirits right up!"

"I have tried at least two of the three." August admits.

"Perhaps it is time for the third. They do say, you know... good things come in threes?" He offers, with a hopeful grin.

August considers uneasily. "I don't think that would, ah, address the source of her irritation. We..... could try. It might distract her. Temporarily."

"A distraction may be most pleasant. And while it shan't fix the source of ill, it may allow a refreshed palate upon which to tackle that which may taste bitter. First though, some sweet?"

"I ... suppose. To be honest, I"m more concerned about his mentors. GrandDame Bondraste seemed unwell."

His expression looks troubled. "Shall I fetch a varmint to her side?"

"A var.... oh, no. No, I'm sure if she were truely unwell Healer Emma would be attending her even now. Coradel indicated the GrandDame was awake and aware when Coradel left."

"Ahhh. Whereas a varmint's victuals may cure bodily ails, it shall seldom heal the soul. Never fear. I will woo her back to spry selfhood." He strikes a gallant pose.

August chuckles with an aire of admiration. "She will never know what hit her."

Vince clucks his tongue and waggles a finger at August. "Shame, that you think I would hit a lady! You've earned thine own self a spanking when next we meet."

"A figure of speech, Vince, and well you know it." wryly "You'll make me rethink agreeing to visit Coradel with you."

"So you DID agree!" He snags onto that quickly. "Say, Tuesday evening, around 8pm? I'll bring the wine."

"Assuming the lady agrees, yes." August conceeds.

"Tuesdays can be tricky." He agrees, apparently not considering that Coradel might say no. "Avast, I must a damsel rescue. One aged to perfection like a fine wine, and yet, it would be gauche to make her wait."

August nods. "If you will see to GrandDame Bondraste, I'll seek out Magnus."

A nod, and he swishes off to find her.

And so August continues in his search, more focused on Magnus now.

He finds Magnus who looks like he's got a devil of a headache as he looks over some paper work

August knocks softly. "Am I interrupting?"

"Not really, just longinng for the days when my focus was shooting white slavers or busting drug lords.. you know, the simple challenges"

August offers a commiserating smile as he approaches. "Need help with paperwork?"

"Much olbiged, but no no... just covering for Adam's vanishing mortal side."

August looks serious. "Of course. Are you certain I can't help? Liam........"

"With their parents help I think iv'e got it covered. I told him I'd look after his family. And god do they need looking after"

August tilts his head. "They do?"

"August they had JUST got their shit together... sained a few months ago really helped... Kyle and Brenda were put through hell during seperation meaning they didn't have a fair chance to explore it. Brenda actually thought NOTHING good had come of becoming Fae..though someone helped her with that. Kyle felt like a failure as a troll. Lily was a miserable little girl and hid it bravely from all and she blended in best. They all loved Adam, thought he was... well, hurting from loss, but finally mature and prepared for the fae world. Kyle steps forward, declares his son ready.... and then.... BAM.... he discovers his boy is .. .not stable, apparently not ready, and I had to tell him AND the others that their son was gone on a quest"

"He's gone on a quest?"

"Oh right, sorry. Yes... to find his lost love in the Dreaming. Very Fiona. I hope he makes it, but we may never see him again. Or he may return 3 years victorious with his sword alight again. "

August nods slowly. 'Very Fiona." he agrees.

"Unfortunattely, given his.. state- it's this or become a Tarnished Lion"

"Damn it. I really thought the boy had been listening" A sigh

"Magnus, forgive me for asking and if you'd rather not discuss I will of course understand. You say he is not stable, not ready, and he is in a state. I was at the other end of the room. I think I heard the voice of his fallen chimera, and I saw him draw his blade across his hand, I think.... and then the five of you stepped out. What happened?"

"Coradel didn't tell you?" HE raises a brow

"I... was more focused on calming her down. She did share a bit with me but I would like your point of view if you are willing to share it."

"I'm not sure I should. " He says "As a mentor perhaps I've been too free with Adam's trials as it is. Not that I'll be mentoring again"

August nods, accepting. After a beat he asks "Would you join me for a glass of wine?" he gestures to a stocked sideboard.

"Certainly. I can tell you chose revenge over love, treated his lady poorly, and the Dreaming ...and said lady, appear to have laid a challenge before him. And he almost swore an Oath against ALL Will workers" A shudder
