then gently "Oh, but Miss Zara, what shall become of the room across from the library? Surely it shall not go to say, Shaliamar?"

the idea of the jester practicing his trade across the beloved library might send any sluagh to a shudder

"I have made my request clear. Surely, the Library may require tending at odd hours... and with me further away, would it not serve the needs of the Hold to have, say, one of the Scribe's squires there? Mm. Perhaps Tyler would wish it..."

"Tylar is a most excellent squire, and a skilled scribe, and in truth, I adore him in an almost unseemly fashion" A blush

"But, I must confess, his focus of late has been of musing mortals and sword play. when not scribing for our mutual liege"

"Ah, so. As I suspected, it would best go to the one who has often served as my Second, in tending here."

"if it would comfort thee for the room to be in use by a true book lover, then I would undertake the move. Indeed, I am concerned for the dustbunnies there that did refuse to relocate."

A sigh. "Aye, they were accustomed... and, truly, I understand the recalcitrance..."

"I fear they would not fare well under all occupants..."

a sympathetic look then a nod "Nay. Steward Delores has given ground in many ways, but she is a boggan still"

"Miss Ivanka mentioned there are some languishing bits of furniture in storage, from the previous Baron's days. It seems most of the Fiona find them too dark and gloomy in character..."

She nods. "Thank goodness for her. She has been a most welcome addition to the hold."

"Just so. she wears soft soled shoes so she does not step so loudly. so considerate"

"May I be so presumptuous as to assume I am the one you speak of worthy to move into that lovely room? It seemed so, but pride comeith before the fall"

A smile escapes her, most unseemly "I shall treat it with respect , Miss Zara, and thank you so much. I am in thy debt"

"Tend the chimera well, aye? And the sisters are fond of popcorn."

"I am most cert the sisters will be moving with you, at least part time to visit, and a few to stay. " She points out "Should any come to my chamber they will be welcome, of course and i shall keep popcorn for them but it is you they turn to"

"Aye, but they do visit as they will."

"In truth.. oh" she looks over her shoulder in the direction of her new abode " it will be nice to have my books and things and bed in the same area"

"It is quite nice. Cozy. And you may find some hidey-holes..."

Then she adds "I thank thee, Miss Zara, is a great gift"

"Feh." A wave. "You are worthy, and I would bear no other so close to my library."

She concedes "While there are many who would not do your library justice, I am never the less deeply honored"

"I am glad you are pleased. Most agreeable for all parties."

"Of certes, " a happy sip of tea, "Oh, speaking of neglect, it is possible there shall be some refugees brought here...at least for a time"

"Refugees?" Blink. "Ah - Texas?"

"And other areas aye. The DeBukes hath been busy rescuing hose who they can but have involved students from far afield, offering extra credit"
