Velvet may faint as she gets the news . It is, mayhaps hard for young sluagh wilders, so eager to prove they are decreptly cold and aloof from such things as squees and happy claps

"Never the less" Delores says "You need to check with Miss Zara, who maybe listening for all I'd notice" The Steward admits

Zara's old room is apparently empty, save a few distressed dust bunnies hiding in the corners.

"I suppose those are fair game now," Delores observes at the dustbunnies

"They are not" Velvet says and moves protectively before them

(She did manage to coax a few upstairs... but they are timid creatures...)

"Isn't that the chant? Here is the law of the clean up, as old as the first made room, that the dustbunnies who huddle together in tight spaces live, the few in the open get the broom"

Delores reminds

"I am well aware of the odd reactions Kipling had to his enchantment, Steward, " Squire Velvet says primly

"Well, we try to respect sluagh sensitivities, but all sanctuary rules are off if there's no furniture or shelves for them. Boggans can only take so much you know?"

"I am aware" she assures "And I shall seek out Miss Zara and provide , if this be well, somethings. Does this mean I can move out with the others? To.. to have truly my own space?"

"Squire, it is well known you moved out of the little suite set up for you and have been using a closet near Baron August's study as 'your' space." Steward Delores says "you haven't been with the others in some time"

"They're so loud" a wince. The cluster of rooms for wilder girls without much station might SEEM Sepearate, but the dorm feel to it does not always make it easy

Delores looks sympathetically at her, "It was noticed and thus no one made a fuss at your.. unofficial relocation. I imagine if Miss Zara were her she would say Slaugh reserve rights to nest in private places"

The squire wrinkles her nose a bit at the term 'nest', as if Slaugh were garish birds plopping willy nilly. but she nods to the Steward "I do think this would be lovely but will go to her to confirm, now if you please?"

The boggan can take a hint, and nods "By all means, I have my own matters to attend to. Ivana will help you with redecorating if you like"

"I thank you" Squire Velvet tries to WISH the good natured boggan away. Perhaps it works, for the Steward does nod and head out

The squire looks at the dust bunnies "in sooth, I feared she might linger on"

"meep?"

Oh she tuts "Fear not.. I have a grand wardrobe that smells of grandmothers"

One bold bunny - perhaps of DeBuke breeding - hops forward to sniff Velvet's toe.

Oh, she smells a bit of old paper crumbles and tea cozies

A tiny head-butt before it scapers back to the huddle.

"oh such a bold fellow" she nods , a thought "here, it is poor succor, but it shall provide some temporary huddle space" She lays down a clip board at an angel providing a cave of sorts against the wall, and goes out to seek Miss Zara

The bunnies all pile together in the rickety shelter.

And off Squire Velvet goes Yes, my wardrobe and the shelf I was gifted with... she checks the library across the hall first

Zara is waiting, with tea.

Squire velvet bows low, "miss zara, may I say truehearted life seems to be aging you prematurely" bordering on gross flattery but better than the effusive gushing she WANTS to do

"Thou art kind, cousin. Please, join me?"

"I would be honored" and she takes her spot "I confess, there are some matters that have come to my attention so tea is espcially welcome"

Zara nods as she pours. Velvet gets a splash of Zara's favored cream, extra lumpy. "Aye? Do tell."

"Oh," mannerly, she will mention things she has learned first, "Veronkia seems to be demonstrating a power , a times untentionally, where she appears as that which most appeals to others.. for a short time, but it would be long enough to drown someone"

"Interesting. Fitting of the tales..."

"Aye, she is trying to learn to summon it at will"

A quiet nod as she sips her tea. Perhaps to hide a smile as a Raven lands on the back of Velvet's chair and leans over to inspect her.

The raven is invisible een to other sluagh. It's like having a secret in the open!

"Of course she is gaining attention from fellows at the court, but her talk of justice and avenging tends to make some shy off"

"Well, timid souls bear few rewards."

"Sooth" She agrees, "Behold Sir Earl, a seemingly humble man, some would say meek, and yet spine he did fine in the pursuit of you. He chased and chased, until you turned around and caught him" Approval, if Zara were a spider she'd have lured Earl to the center of the web and only then feasted

Zara smiles. "You have been speaking to the spiders."

"As best one can" She admits "of course, 1122 is ever charming , the rogue goes even further afield than the sisters. Why, he has gone as far as the rooms where I am currently assigned.. officially. I worry it must tire him for it is so decuedly far for one so small however brave" A sip

1122 fusses!

"Oh, 1122 is intrepid."

"Of certs," She agrees, "Only one of the sisters explores this hold even close to as much "

"meaning I do not get to see them so often save when I am in the library. A pity" sip

"Indeed... but then, your duties bring you here often. And... rumor holds there is a room now vacant that is quite close."

"Aye, and it is a duty I delight in" she says but at mention of the rumor she goes "oh? do tell?"

Only Zara would notice that the girl bounced in her seat a bit at that
