The WEEKEND!!! TWO glorious days to spend at leisure and pleasure.

Adam is mucking out the stables.

And, he's ok with that. Part of his equestrian lessons include care of the animals, but really, animal care is animal care. Food, water, clean place to stay and sleep, exercise, and yes, affection.

And Kansas is happy to see him.

The hawk definitely seems fond

He has her balanced on his shoulder, or on a beam, as he works. She gets a smile.

And his new hawking gloves are on his belt, work gloves on his hands.

"YOu're doing well, Adam" His mentor Sergei says

He looks around quickly. "Oh. Hello, sir. Thank you. Did you need me for something?"

"You're tending to it" he nods "But after that, I need you to take some saddles to the Stable."

"Yes, sir. Of course."

"SOmeone assumed all animals were handled by me and left them here" He says explaining.

"Are there just out there?"

He indicates the area.

"I have them stacked near the kennels. Away from the dogs lest they chew. How is Dumas?"

"Uh." He glances at the dog, who is curled up in a corner and watching Adam work. "He's fine. I try to spend as much time as I can with him."

"He's a good fellow, learning under your tutelige"

"He tries, sir, really hard. I know he's not a Fae dog but he is a GOOD dog."

Dumas wags at that

though he still apears asleep

Adam smiles at the thumpthump. He glances up at Kansas.

She is on his shoulder, and looks outside. Eager for a hunt

"Gotta be patient, pretty girl. I'll take you out."

In the distance, he sees another hawk dancing in the sky

"Yes, Alanza has already taken one hunting even now"

"I'll finish my work here, sir, if that's ok?"

"Please do" And the Varich moves on

And he does, then puts on his hawking gloves and calls Kansas to his hand.

And to his hand she goes.

He catches her leash, and he carries her out to join Alanza.

Alanza grins "Hey, how are you?"

"Hey." he grins back. "Taking this girl for some exercise."

Kansas is eager to take off, but waits.

"Ssshhhh... settle...." he encourages.

"Teak already caught a coney" She says proudly

Kansas settles

"Good girl..." he praises. "How've you been?" he asks Alanza.

"Great," She admits "I like the dogs, but there's nothing like watching a falcon take flight?"

"I like them all... but yeah. Something special about a falcon on wing."

"Or red tailed hawk in her case" A grin

"You want to debate words?"

"Nah, just giving you a touch of grief for my own shallow amusement" She smiles

He laughs softly. "Ok." And he lets Kansas free.

And off Kansas flies, taking the winds joyously

He can't help but smile as she does.

Alanza sighs happily as she lets her own bird loose

"Hey."

"Hey" She says back

"You good? I mean... with us."

"Yeah, thanks for the art tour by the way. I could tell you were nervous but you were very classy about it"

"Yeah...." Adam shifts "I could have handled that better but.... I was kind of blindsided? Anyway. It was good to see you there. Thanks for coming."
