The woman looks at him "What on.." She laughs and covers her mouth.She had been looking miserable. Sad

But this is such a bizzare situation she seems to have been distracted

"Please accept this gift as a token of esteem from your Husband. He is quite the gentleman. The shortest troll I've ever encountered, and with such lovely flowing hair and pale, deathly skin, like a fish washed ashore." Describing rather succinctly her daughter.

"Wait.. Lily?"

"Your contortionist is an extortionist, but I begrudge not her intent. The love was there." Doffing his plumed cap.

"I don't understand" She says"I'm sorry . I'm not good with pooka talk." Then she says "Frankly. I'm not good with any thing changeling."

He leans onto the window sill. "Even a pooka can smell the lie there. You've a daughter who fiercely cares for you, and that's something to be proud of! Scary little dickens, though."

"Yes, she is," A sigh "But I'm not sure how much I helped there. When I was seelie I got too controlling, when I was unseelie I got neglectful. My son wants to control me, my husband doesn't understnad me, and my daughter? Well, Lily is... sometimes I think she's better off without me."

"Well that's just a load of Poppycock! Every chickadee needs her mother hen, even the boneless nuggets." He clucks sympathetically. "But that you think so shows that you do hope for her to thrive. A wise fox once told me, Keep your chin up. Someday there will be happiness again."

"I just.. think maybe it's a matter of time before I betray my husband.. dissappoint my son, and neglect my daughter again. You.. seem kind, sir. I do appreciate it, but ... at this rate I fear I might become a dauntain. Sometimes I.. I wish there were no such things as changelings"

"The season is drear, but there is still hope." And he plays a soft tune. "Things are seldom as dark at they seem. Keep faith in your strength, and your family, aye?"

"Your'e right. My family is.. even if... things don't work out between Kyle and I.. my family, OUR family is worth fighting for" she says "I just.. don't know if I'm strong enough to win that fight"

"You will be strong enough, for you must be." He reasons, logically. "You will find the strength when you needs must read far enough. And so, my dear, I will bid thee farewell."

"THank you, mister.. I don't know if you gave a name?"

"Ooo-de-LOLLY! Didn't I? Sir Alan A'Dale, would-be champion of Pennons and currently Chicken ala Lamb." A wave!

"Thank you, Sir Alan, you are a beam of sunshine" She says then chuckles "Which is appropriate I guess. Go on, sir. Before I grow flirtatious"

He plucks a feather from his cap and tucks it rakishly behind one of her horns. "A threat most dire!" And he takes his leave.

The saytr grand dame smiles

And decides she'll do better .She shifts her form, the same cantrip she has cast every day on her way to the farm. Pretending to be her own replacement

For the night of Samhain is here.... though the mists have not fallen, and folks are only now coming out in any great number.

Zara floats about her library, checking everything over. She wears a gown of a greyish-lilac chiffon trimmed in black lace, with scalloped wing sleeves with a matching sash. She has streaked her white hair with black, leaving it in skunk stripes. A bat pendant nestles at her throat.

Herman munster.. err Earl comes in dressed in the green body paint, the bolts, and an outfit of black ..

only far fancier than Herman ever wore

"Lily" stretches up to give him a peck on the jaw.

A kiss back"I must say, Gomez' is a much better dresser ,so I'm playing Herman who got fashion advice." There's a vaguely germanic noblity angle to the outfit he has.

"Aye, but to repeat? That would not do."

She reaches to smooth his lapels - or perhaps find an excuse to run hands over his chest. "Mm."

A bat escapes, chimerical, and flies about "I may have added a few other things to spookify it"

"Wonderful!"

A wink "Artists got to art"

"Well, I love it. And I love thee. Into trouble we go, nu?"

"Many a time you have guided me into trouble. I am the better for it," He offers his arm for her to take

She slips her arm through his, and out they venture.

And out they go. the halls are decorated with gothic and spooky designs

And they see a girl who looks a lot like Sally from Nightmare before Christmas.. Velvet with designs of stitches!

A sweeping bow.

And a curtsy from her "Lovely, Munsters among us"

"And delightful nightmares. You have dressed as a seer - use it well tonight."

"I will" She says "The distance closes... it will be easier to see "

"Aye. Good casting, cousin."

"And may you find many mysteries solved , or at least delights" A blush as she notices Earl looking quite Dapper. For all knew Herman Munster was delightfully handsome. so Handsome he broke mirrors

Well, Zara is delighted by him.

And they move on to see others. When Zara sees... Sharlimar, dressed as Vicar. In fact, the description is very true to a certain book

Vashti comes out, dressed as the Earl of Huntingdon. they make googly eyes at each other as they clasp hands
