"I'm a cookie... my wants are kind of what you imagine them to be, but nice of you to worry" and .the tingle goes

"Huh."Adam kind of frowns, but then grins. "Hey, I did it!"

"What else can I do??"

"That's part of the fun" Magnus says "Finding out. Our magic doesn't work like wizard magic does in D&D, unless that's what inspires you. Our magic is about feeling, and whim much more than rote and memorization. Now, don't get me wrong, book lovers are natural magicians among our kind because they don't just DO the magic, they also love plumbing the depths.... but one of the more powerful masters of Primal I know is..well, she's a farmer. And far more tied to the land than my ink stained hands will ever be. "

"Matter of fact yes.. oh right, practically neighbors to you folks..via trod anyway"

"Interesting" He says "I never have. THey're a bit biased against sidhe I think. Oh well. Something to look forward to when you pop. But back to the lessons... you have a fae soul in you, you should be able to do more magic, but it's a matter of whim to trigger"

Adam is not comfortable talking about what he lacks as regards a Fae soul. "Yeah, she talked about that. Some of the old people there were pretty ratched."

"AH, well, not our circus not our monkeys... now, Primal's next 'level' as it might be seen as Eldritvh Prime, at least for most.. creating an element"

"Huh?

"Fire, Earth, Air, water. They come in their most natural form and way....water showers down as either rain or bubbles up from the ground like a spring; wood either sprouts out of the ground or an object "grows" bark."

"Oh. Cool. And fire... fire's like.... good or bad, depending on how it's used?"

"What about earth? Dirt just sits there, right?"

"Well.. ever see Avatar the last airbender?"

"I knew guys who were into it. Me.... Kinda... on the outside?"

"Fair enough.. mm okay, think of an Earth quake's power... that's Earth at 11... but worth noting"

"OH........" understanding.

"Got it."

"Right.. lots of power in giant rocks under us bumping"

"Yeah. Ok. I get that." A pause. "I think Dag would dig that."

"She might, a lot of trolls enjoy Primal.. it's an honest art..really hooks into some fundamental forces"

He nods, a bit withdrawn. "Ok, so .... what else can I do?"

"Let's find out... " He says and brings out a ..basketball? A chimerical one.

And bounces it to him, "Take this... use your imagination... "

His eyes light up and he catches. "Yeah?"

"Yeah... floor in here is hard. Don't worry about scuffs. I checked it with the hard working staff. Imagine this thing is a magical basketball..it's not by the way, the magic is you, but what do you think a magic basketball could do?"

Adam grins BIG....

.... and suddenly he's a whole team of the Harlem Globetrotters, tricks everywhere, super shots, running like he will never run out of wind.....

Magnus grins

This dude OWNS the court, it's his home, a natural territory.

And he starts a lay up for a basket that isn't there, but he can imagine them... and .. suddenly he launches in the air... leaping tweny feet forward and 10 feet up before landing

He stops dead and looks at Magnus with wide eyes. Did you see that?!?!?

"Well, son of a gun... I think you're heading towards warrior mage dom"

"HUH?"

Adam stares at the beautiful basketball in his hands, and then up at where the backboard was and ....

"Hopscotching.. you used a basic wayfare cantrip" A grin "Real popular art for a reason"

"What?" He still seems disconnected. "I just... I mean.. .the ball...."

"The ball didn't do it, you did.. ..now the ball might have been useful for a bunk, and that's great, but.. it was quite literally the power of your imagination that had you launched"

"That was AWESOME!!!!" he explodes.

"I want to do it again!!!"

"So do it" He grins "But understand, cantrips are whimsical ... you can do nothing wrong and still they fail, or even run a bit wild.. Part of the fun is the chance"

"Yeah but......" breathless, he engages again, challenging the ball to BRING IT....
