Bronte goes back to reading her new book

"Miss Zara, you seemed to enjoy 'Have Broom, Will Cackle'. I also have some books in French"

"French? I do read French, that would be a nice exercise..."

Adam makes a face and shrugs.

"Well, here's Candide, I suspect you have it in English," He lays it down "And this is La Princesse de Clèves , and a collection of some early detective fiction by Émile Gaboriau" He puts it down

A pile of at least three books in French "I have a few books for my own reading which you get later " A grin

Zara sparkles. "These are wonderful, thank you sir."

The boy looks around, but doesn't wander far afield.

He turns to see a bare feminine leg showing beyond the door enticingly

His expression brightens.

"You are most welcome," Sir Bachdion says "Your library has been a wonderful resource to this old teacher"

The leg crooks just so

Goat fur? Too-pale-and-grey? Blue? Short?

"And you are a most welcome patron."

Long, not troll long, shapely,tanned, even a touch bronzed

Most important; familiar?

Vaguely

Adam grabs a book at random and wanders over as he opens it in front of him as if reading.

"Too kind. I do hope Earl is doing well?" The satyr says

Adam pretends to actually be interested in 'The Feminine Mystique' as he closes on his target

"Oh, quite! Working."

The book's a little old for his tastes. And DRY.

But that leg... peeks out again, toes wiggling

S'ok, he wasn't that into the book! He wanders out the door.....

"Yes. I understand he got yet another commission today" Sir Bachdion nods

And he sees an Eshu in a swimsuit "Hey, Adam. Did you know there's a room with a hot tub?" She turns and prances off

"Hey girl. Where you been?" He asks.

.... her back.

She looks back "Eshu. We go where our feet lead. Now my feet want to get wet. You wanna join me, then find some trunks. Third room to the side at the left hall"

And she sways off

"Sir??" He calls back without looking. "May I be excused?"

Bachdion listens to this chatter, and chuckles as he is asked "Put the book you have back where you found it, and yes, you go have fun"

Adam dashes in, replaces the book, and dashes out.

A long-suffering shake of her head.

Underwear counts as trunks, right? in pursuit.

"Oh now, Miss Zara, you've dabbled your toes in frolic and romance yourself I'm sure" Sir Bachdion smiles at the librarian "Or is it just we Fiona can be a bit ..lacking in nuance comparatively?"

"I have never been a teenage boy."

Laughter rings down the halls.

"Seems a teenage girl is also involved" he reminds

And Adam and Alanza's laughter fades in the hall

Sir Bachdion chuckles then says "Ah, but I'm an extrovert intruding on two lovely ladies eager to read" Meaning Bronte as well as Zara "Good night, ladies" he bows low, and withdraws

"Good night, monsieur." A bow to the departing satyr... and soon, Zara is just as greedily at new pages at Bronte.

Mmmm good books and good company and..... good night
