"probably because while Unseelie trolls still have a code, they still play rougher. She was trying to protect you.. Unseelie isn't evil, but it's wilder, more self focused. This might seem bad, but sometimes it lets you take iniative and get things done. I prefer Seelie. Too much of a romantic I guess, but my unseelie side is there and it can still teach me things"

"Makes sense, I guess." He nods.

"Still sucked, getting left out."

"You won't this year I don't think, but you might wake up with a busted lip and memory loss." A smile at taht oddly

"Ok, the memory loss would suck. I don't mind a busted lip, I just wanna know why!"

"Ha. Then you will hate Samhain. " A laugh "Sorry, but foggy memory is almsot a given"

"Last year I woke up with this paper tag tied to my toe."

"Wonder what friend did that" A pondering

A shrug and Adam relaxes back into the seat. "Far as I remember I stayed in, so...."

"Yes, well, pranking is another changeling thing>" They park at the hold and go in. Adam still feels..drained

"I guess so." He follows Bachdion.

Entering the hold is a relief. Like he just came out of some muggy humid area and got a nice breeze... only muggy and cold now clean and warm

"You okay?" Thane Oswald says "You look a bit drained"

"He'll need time by the fire" Sir Bachdion says

"I'm ok." he insists.

However, he does follow Bachdion into the throne room.

"You're not okay, your fae soul is caked in banality with only a bit of breathing room" Bachdion flags a servant and gets a drink for them both "That's not okay. That's at least a 'I've been better'"

"Well. Yeah. I felt better after you flipped me that coin. Oh, uh, here." He offers it back.

He takes it back "Yes, well, 'better' is relative but I'm glad"

Adam looks at the Balefire and is not even aware of how hungry his expression is.

It feels so GOOD to be in its presence. Like finding out you haven't seen the sun in DAYS and suddenly finding a warm beam

He manages not to run over to it, to sit with it, but it's a near thing.

Bachdion chuckles at this. "Does feel good, doesn't it?"

"Yes, Sir."

Adam follows the satyr to the Balefire and takes a seat to warm himself, existentially.
