Minerva says "I have this old brick phone , it texts if you want" She offers her number

Bachdion looks speculatively at this.

"Who's that guy?" Minerva asks "An Uncle or something?"

"Uh, yeah. My Uncle. Once removed." He takes the phone number, offers his.

"Pardon, didn't want to intrude" Bachdion says

"It's okay.. you've got a decent nephew here" O'Connel says ..cautiously.

"He's growing to be a good man" Bachdion says.

"Thank you."

adam can tell Bachdion is considering something. Thinking it over

"Uh. So." stalling for Bachdion's sake "You guys have somewhere for tonight, at least?"

"A small hotel room." Lesley says "We'll flip a coin for the couch.. It's a roof. We've got a good deal for two days"

"Good. Good, at least there's that." He glances at Bachdion.

"Come on, Adam." he says "let's not hassle these good women" he looks at the O'Connels "I hope things turn around for you. "

Adam offers the ladies a little half-bow, and steps back behind Bachdion.

Bachdion guides him away "I have their plate number, you have a phone number. We can find them again if need be" he says . Adam feels a bit dull inside. Aching in his gut

"Yeah. Ok."

"I don't feel so good."

"Like everything has a wet gray blanket laid over it , even you. Weighted down. And inside...it's like a hollow pit, but food won't fix it?"

He nods.

"Yeah, that's banality. I put you at risk .. seems you are vulnerable to it.. guess you really are a kithain, asleep or not." He reaches into a pocket, takes out a quarter "Catch"

and flips it

"Huh?" Adam reaches out to catch, feeling clumsy.

He catches it, though he feels slugish at first then.. there's a glow and.. the pit is still there in his belly, but it lessens?

He looks at the coin in his hand.

It had glamour.. now that glamour is gone, but the 'wet blanket' is now more like a wet sheet

And it's easier to 'see' Bachdion as he is

Adam shivers a bit.

"That's better."

"Good. Now, balefire " they get in the car "I'll drive this time"

"Ok." Adam is compliant. He gets in the car and rides to EarthRunes.

"I didn't do so good, did I?"

"What? You did fine" Bachdion says "I got a chance to look that autumn person over"

"How do you fight someone like him? I mean.... I wanted to throw hands but he'd have the law on his side."

"Mostly we avoid. The Liams try to redeem them at times, but I've seen a lot of folks lost doing that."

"Yeah, but then he gets away with it? How do you fight someone like him?"

"Oh, there are ways" he says "Some sneaky. Look, I can help the O'Connels Fiona style but it has it's risks too"

"You can? How? I mean, there are others, too, right?"

"As for Mr. Graves. " A frown "There are some who would just kill him. Mostly redcaps and the like. Right of Life doesn't apply to mortals as far as most consider but then arguably that's a risk to ignorance nevermind still morally wrong"

"Oh sure. In over her head single mother, bright distressed daughter. I could put them up in a better place for a week free of charge, get the gift of pan going.. that tends to lower banality. Only risk is my own temptation" WRy

"Oooohhh......" realization.

"Yes, Adam. Gift of pan is not a 'have sex now' command, it's a 'hey be bold and do what you always wanted to try' drumbeat for the soul... but I've been around a while..and Miss O'Connel would probably like the idea of Stress relief sex. Her daughter too. But one has to be careful of toying with hearts. You've seen for yourself how some folks can't always keep the act free of complications?"

"OH yeah. Yeah, I've seen it."

"What -really- gets me is that I can understand some people want just one other person and they're happy with that and it works for them, and some people like to know more than one other person and explore that, and -be- explored...."

".... but what gets me is when I get judged for what I want, you know?"

A chuckle "You have my sympathies"

"Anyway, yeah, it wouldn't help anything if they wanted something from you that you can't give." Adam agrees. "And thanks."

"Satyrs get that all the time. Fiona too to a lesser degree." He says "the key is polite honesty about things. Getting closer to samhain... while most of us hold fine until that night... you might notice some personality changes."
