August sees the ladies seated before taking his own chair. He takes water, or tea if there is some included. "Largely."

She frowns and nods. "A terrible thing, yes. I... my past lives are not strong. Our primary goal during the war was to protect Dreamers from the fallout."

"A noble effort, but," A pause "Why didn't House Liam side with the commoners instead? Some Fiona did"

"Some Fiona did, yes. So did some Liam, though not the house as a whole."

"We hoped, by staying neutral, we would be able to work with both sides."

August nods agreement. "Our.... focus, our mission, were the mortals."

"I can respect that somewhat, but it , well," She says "Please don't be offended, but I'm of the opinion the nobles were in the wrong. I guess you could say I'm a modernist. I hope that my views don't make me unwelcome?" A sip "I think, perhaps , to some commoners they don't understand our.. way of thinking" It's a blur to her to be sure. She's always been firm and in charge, now she fights almost imperious urges to set matters just so

"If we objected to modernists, our Library would be far poorer."

The Baron chuckles softly. "Indeed." with great fondness.

"Yes, August, you do a lot of good - but that is Zara;s baby."

"Of course" As if realizing "Zara is here."

"Where?" He looks around.

(Seriously, he does. As if he expects she's slipped in unseen from somewhere.)

"I do not think we handled the resurgence well. I'm autumn - and if I am correct, so are you? So obviously, you also stayed behind to try and help."

"It... well. Rolling back in after several centuries, thinking nothing had changed is a bit presumptive, yes."

Zara is not immediately apparent.

"I meant in the hold, Baron" Agenthe says to him, "I didn't mean to alarm. " Then a nod to Sparrow "Yes, Lady. I am definitely Autumn. I rather like this world so am glad to be tied to it" The mention of the presumption makes her nod

"I suppose the High King." gently "And I know many worthy common Fae who I am proud to call friends and allies."

"I am glad that we've so many common nobles now - sidhe might have gifts, but it matters for fae to have rule that is welcomed, not imposed."

"Even if Firnost is.. well.. Firnost."

"Oh yes, even we modernists tend to tut at Firnost" A shake of her head. "Lord love a duck, I cannot blame some folks for wishing some sort of firm hand on that place, though I'd just as soon have it be elected"

A grin. "Have you ever heard of the Baroness Brekke Shacklebreaker?"

"Troll Chieftain of some renown" She says "I certainly have. A fine young woman indeed."

"She once was Firnost's Freeholder, by election."

August sips his tea.

"And she left and it went down hill. World needs more trolls it seems" She says as if she has a joke somewhere in the cup

"Well, I won't disagree. My mentor was a troll. Rivervale's mountain."

"Sir Franklyn?" She queries

"The same." A fond smile to Sparrow.

"Firnost tends to attract useless sidhe... yes, Sir Frank. He's a Liam knight. And his armor quite literally shines. I owe him a great deal."

"Oh yes, solid Mountain. Got the fundamentals down" A nod of approval

"You are familiar with the troll Lodge system?" with a smile.

"Oh very. I think it's ... more efficient, certainly a fine set of traditions" She says

"It is efficient,yes, and a fine set of traditions." August agrees..... mostly.... with what she says.

She notices this, and smiles "You're a polite young man, Baron."

"Thank you." Politely.

It is odd. She even now has ideas on how to organize the lodge. How to whip it into shape with new energy. Of course, not with that noble nonsense. Not even a little tempting to go that path.

She looks thoughtful, then says "But please, don't let me detain you. If you two have duties. I might just walk about the hold if allowed. See some of that art work"

"I think trolls are the closest of the common kiths to understanding noblesse oblige."

"Oh!" Fluffy feathers. "Let me show you!"

"Oh, please do" She rises "Did you know there was a time I did not give art it's due. I thought everything had to be practical. Hardly befitting Beauty is Life, is it?" A sigh "Old fools make the worst fools I fear."

August rises. "Derynwydd is one of our resident artists. I hope you enjoy your time here. Please, dine with us if you can."

"I will, Baron" A nod

and she allows herself to be led away

A smile at Aug. "I'll bring her back, you tell Delores we've a guest!"

"I will!"

"..... so Derynwydd is showing her around and she may join us for dinner." He finishes.

"Lovely. I look forward to it. Odd that she should be so disoriented coming off the trod, though. Do you think she was attacked?"
