"Oh gods... my head." Siv says "my mouth tastes like...death."

The room is dark yet never dark enough. Quiet, but not quiet enough. There's some interesting smells too..

"Given your state of inebriation last night," A voice says "And that alcohol is a toxin...and you had, to my count no less than seven different TYPES of liquors and I lost count of the samples...."

"don't yell" Siv says clutching her head.

"Actually my voice is at a normal volume," Jonas opens the window to the bedroom

"HISSS" Siv lifts the sheets up

"Wrong kith" Jonas says

"every woman's a sluagh during a hangover" Siv observes from under her sheet shield "make the bad golden thing go away"

"You have to get up, and get ready to head back to Rivervale. Remember? You made me promise that we would try to beat the news of your success to your parents so they'd hear it from you first"

"I did?" She peeks out, winces "Crap. Hard to remember but that does sound like me. Wow, after the third of fourth toast and a half hour of dancing I lost track"

"Well, you are glossing over a few things, yes," Jonas says "THOSE I don't suggest we tell your folks about."

"Did I spank your ass and tell everyone I was tapping that?" She tries to collect the scattered thoughts

"Yes, then you called me you're two horned narwhal with his blubber in all the right places," Jonas says with a sigh

"Wow, that's..pretty good description for someone whose really drunk," Siv says

"Yes, Shalimar declared you the Poet laruerette of Upper New Jersey" Jonas says

"Oh dear," Siv says

"Did I sleep with anyone?" She pauses "Anyone besides you?"

"no sleeping was involved," He assures

"Well, that's a rel-" A pause "Hey!"

"Actually, to their credit, the Fiona have a very fair system, only those equally intoxicated are allowed to pursue each other... no unfair advantage that way"

"That's enlightened..by fae standards" Siv nods

"And soon, no one could equal you so you were totally off limits" Jonas says

"Are you funning me?" Accusation brow

"Only way you'll find the absolute truth is being getting up, showering off, getting dressed." He says

A groan, a lurch and she gets out "All the boyfriends in the world I have to deal with a tyrannical thesaurus won't even let me sleep off a hangover" She notices a cup by the bed "What's this?"

"Hangover 'cure' provided by Jack.. or was it Vince? At the Baroness' orders I think" Jonas says

She takes a sip "This tastes AWFUL" She makes a face.

"Yes it does. " He says , then firmly "Imbibe it anyway"

Glare, wince, and drink.

"Better?" He asks

"Will be once I shower, and shave my tongue" She rises and goes to the bathroom. Soon water is pouring. Clearing her head, reviving other memeories.

Jonas checks his watch. And counts to ten.

Sure enough, on the count of seven, Siv's voice comes out "Did I show my #$$#$$ to - " Alarmed

"I'll tell you on the deck of your boat" he calls out loud and clear.

"SHIP, it's a BLOODY SHIP!" She yells back and curses and mutters, but the hangover is as forgotten as a hangover CAN be.
