Because it troubled me... I love her, and I do not like the idea of her and I at loggerheads. I had talked to her after explained I would do it, but I was sorry I lost my temper for I know a lot of what SHE did was out of love too. Another Fiona told me ..more or less that.. I cannot elevate MY love... and down anothers. So I apologized to her for that."

"Well, good. Because yes, what she did was to put herself at greater risk to protect her sister, and as an act of love and recklessness it was, indeed, downright Fiona. I applaud her for it, and I'm glad you've mended the breech at least that much."

"Aye. So.. ah.. AM I banned from Fenix for a month?" Still unsure on that one "I don't like it if I am, but I said I'd face consequences."

"You are." Sip.

"Well shit," And a delicate sip of her own tea.

"Mm. You'll survive. I'll send word to her."

"She'll appreciate the break I'm sure," Wryly

"Perhaps. Perhaps not. We shall see. Now...what's on your agenda for the afternoon?"

"Sulk against new found urges to go to Fenix more than ever due to a contrary streak.. and wonder if I should stop going to people with honesty if it's going to bite me in the ass. Mostly the sulking I think" A sigh then a smile "other than that, My afternoon is free for your use"

A bemused look. "Hmmm, imagine that, a newfound appreciation for the love you have for your sister. Interesting." A blink that isn't anywhere near as innocent as it pretends to be.

"Worth it" she agrees and sips

"I thought so. Now, would you prefer and go cry to Jack or Vince? Or shall we do a bit of sparring?"

"Jack will tell me 'Yup, life sucks sometimes, you want a drink or what?' " A grin "And Vince will fuss very nicely and the next thing I know I'll feel guitly for upsetting HIm so... so sparring sounds less ego crushing. Though the day is young" She rises

"Let's go beat each other up like good Lioness and Cub in training"

"Let's. And I expect to hear a good roar or two out of you," Coradel says with a smile as she rises from the table and goes with Siv to the training ring.

"meow" she says with humor and they are gone

"Okay, this is just.. cool" Zane says looking at the falcons and hawks. Most of them Chimerical

Adam hangs over the railing, watching as well. "What do they use 'em for?"

"Hunting... sometimes for messages" A cool voice

And not Zane's voice...... Adam looks around.

The Sidhe is dressed in black and gold, more the former than the latter. A huntsman's outfit

Adam's mouth opens and closes a few times, then some subroutine kicks in and he bows.

He raises a brow at this "You are well trained, young man. I am Sir Sergei master of hound and wing here."

Zane bows too "Sorry sir, we.. were told to find you if we wanted to really get a good look"

Adam straightens and nods agreement with what Zane has said.

"mmm hawking and falconry are the sport of kings, even among mortals" He says "You must be careful though... they are still predators"

He makes a motion "A glove of leather or some other wrist protection or it's talons WILL carve your flesh. Do not let it too clsoe to your eyes"

Adam nods, seeming to memorize this.

And he demonstrates... a red tailed hawk

The bird flows to his arm, and positions.. just so

"This is Hermes. He is swift, he is far sighted. Notice the hood? To keep him from being distracted. WHen I remove the hood.. .he goes to slay. "

"Cool." He breathes.

Sergei gives them lessons the sort only a professional at a zoo would give, and yet more. Not just how to handle them... but how to respect them, and why.. and the dreams such birds inspired

Adam simply inhales the information, learning. He asks questions, the sort a beginner would....but then, that is what he is.

The Varich tolerates this and expects it.

"Why don't people do this anymore?" Quietly.

"Some still do.. it is rare among mortals... but it lives. Cities with a pigeon problem are learning that falconyr offers a natural solution... for example"

"Why is it rare, though? This seems, like, so cool."

"It is the doom of men to forget " he simply says "And among changeling society, Falconry lives even more, chiefly among the nobles Gwydions do it as much as for vnaity as anything, but more than one house takes part"

Adam nods. "This is a Fiona Hold."

"Yes. One time, it was an Eiluned one. It has secrets still... now.. grab your gloves.. let us take some birds to the field."

Zane blinks "Now?"

"Now." the varich says

Adam seems surprised, but takes a glove as instructed and follows directions.

"So, uh, does the uh Baroness .... hawk a lot?"

"Not a lot, no" He says As they go out... the birds they've been given are relatively docile, beginner friendly.

"Huh. What's this one's name?"

"Her name is Muse.. she's a good teacher"

"And mine?" Zane says
