At the house, August discovers a note on the kitchen table. He reads. And frowns.

Vince notices the look. “My dear...?”

"Mm." He offers Vince the note with a fretful look.

“Beloved, I've been called away with Samson to hunt down a nuisance that keeps escaping to the Dreaming. Might be a few days, but if this makes me miss Carnivale, somebody is going to have to pay! I'll make it up to you with excellent sex when I return...don't I always? 😉 Don't fret...I'm fine! ❤️ Coradel”

He looks disappointed as well. “Tis a proud thing to be wed to one in such a calling, is it not?”

"H mmph. I hope she took back up." Frowning.

"Samson is backup, one might say." A reassuring hand on his shoulder.

"Did she not order you against your very course of action?"

"Mmph. She always does. It rarely works."

He sighs, still discontent, but accepting. "May as well get to work." He takes a moment to go barefoot, then gathers his laptop. "Let's see what we can discover. I would need Magnus to find information about the mother and daughter based on the car. I'll email him." He does. "Now, for the other couples...." he searches.

Vince perches on the edge of a chair. After a moment, he disappears into the kitchen. Returning, he sets a cup of tea beside August, something from his own stores - perhaps an earl gray, with cream and sugar, as well as sliced lemon and honey, set out as options. He has a cup for himself as well - which has a touch of brandy in it, from the scent.

"Thank you, Vince. I should have offered."

"Ok, I can narrow things down a bit. We think Masterson is still in the area, and we have a last name. Analee and Trevor are more problematic."

"It looks like there might be four Mastersons we could take a look at. I have addresses, not sure they are valid but...."

August shows Vince "What do you think? Should we visit?"

Thoughtfully sipping his tea. "The book of face might assist with the Lastnameless. It is intrusive enough to pry as to names of thy spouse, location, and Analee is a more unique name..."

A smile to August. "The Mastersons may intrigue me, but Analee and Trevor have the greater need. "

August nods, and tackles the elusive Analee and Trevor.

That might be tricky.

Social media?

Using his amazing computer skills, August.. uhmm does a few searches

Yeah, he is not the detective in the family....

Well, fortunately, narrowing it to Jefferson City area does assit

And someone mentions a prayer request for their friend Trevor

"Could be health related..... " August shows Vince.

Well, the willow whisper said something like that

"Mm, click on his profile. If he's not too private a folk, it generally has 'in a relationship with'..."

And there it works.. aha

This is them!

"Found them!" Pleased.

He peeks over the shoulder pointing to where August can click to see basic information without being 'Friended'. "Should be able to see where they went to school, and where they work now? Might shed some light."

A grin. Vince is, after all, a social creature, and media is just one part of that.

He checks.

Not that many posts, complaints about insurance companies... a few pictures of a cat named Lion.

"Ah! A man of taste!"

Lion is a long haired orange tabby who has a pretty impressive yawn/roar

There are pictures of a library that Analee goes to.

And, well, August knows where THAT is.

"Well, that's something to start a conversation with...."

Any idea on what ails Trevor?

He searches Facebook and other social media. Maybe there's a gofundme thing?

Looks like a blood diesases

August sighs, frowning. "Looks pretty serious."

He nods slowly. "Sometimes... love overcomes. But not always. Sometimes, it can all that it does to carry on. Are you prepared to help her do that, if that's what it takes?"

"Yes." Firmly.

He nods, then chuckles. "Here I am, the student lecturing the teacher. I deserve 10 lashes with a switch."
