Bachdion and August return to find themselves in the library. Velvet holds up a finger and goes 'shhh' as they pop into view

August is naturally quiet.

Bachdion's mouth opens in protest

And he gets shushed by Velvet again.

August gives her a quizzical look.

She blushes lightly "It is a library"

He nods understanding, then, "Thank you for your help, Sir."

"Glad to assist," The satyr bows and withdraws

August nods to Velvet and withdraws to his study.

Velvet, follows... "Sir? I mean, Baron?"

Velvet sighs, her whisper is a down fall she knows and she is not always heard, "Baron August"

"Sorry! Yes, Velvet?" He stops attentively.

"I have news regarding will workers, Lord. A report of an encounter, though it is one half of it." She says "I thought it might help"

"Yes!" Excited "Do tell?"

"First, this book was in a..safe place you might have missed," She hands it over, "ANd ... well, once there was a day that wasn't" She explains. " A troll missed her birthday, and wanted it back. Fascinating story, as I am no Eshu I suggest you speak to Captain Siv regarding a first hand account. Second hand though..." And she relates the story that zara told her, but does not mention Zara's name merely referring to her as 'the sluagh'

He listens, then gestures for her to come with him To the study, where he asks her to repeat while he takes notes.

She hands her notes over to save him some time, but does repeat and clarifies "Yes, apparently the mages they fougght against were as chill as winter... their magics were so confining. But the ..ally mages? They were more varied," Confirming what Tripp O Lee told him

A slow nod.

"Do you know if Captain Waveborn is here?"

"yes. she seemed to have slept off her hang over" A sniff

It would appear Velvet has opinions about drunken behavior.

"A hang.... Ah. Could you tell me where she is?"

"She just finished sparring with your wife, I believe she hit the showers"

"Ah. I will wait, then."

"It shan't be long" And the sluagh withdraws

And so, he waits.

Sure enough, Siv comes out in the hallways, clean hair still slightly damp, "Baron," She bows

He nods back. "Captain. May we speak?"

"Oh, certainly, lordship," SHe says "Where?"

"Shall we walk?" And so they wander towards the gardens.

He consults his notes. "Could you tell me more about... losing a day?"

Siv follows smiling as a tiger lily and Dandy Lion snarl at each other

then she blinks, "Losing a... wait, you heard about that?"

"I did." Gravely.

"Wow, well, not sure what to say." She ponders, "It's so strange to lose a day, and a birthday at that. You see, that's how I realized something was wrong... when everyone seems to forget your birthday, well, even a troll girl can get a powerful sulk on. So I began to investigate..."

August listens earnestly.

And she relates the tale referring to meeting a 'Raven' "She understood more of it than I ever could. Time itself had been stolen to trap them all..." and much of what Velvet shared is confirmed, and expounded upon. Time itself! "Seems my own nature helped make me resistant to the spells in place."

"How so?" Curious.

"oh I uhm.. fate bending magics don't work easily on me. I'm... "A shrug "I'm a phantom to fate."

"I have heard of the syndrome, but it is very rare." Impressed.

"Aye, I was once told it's not that I have no fate, but that I have a grand one that drowns out the others... not sure about that. Seems a good way to get an ego. How did you hear about the missing day?"

"I recently had an encounter with a willworkers, and lost time myself. Only a few hours."

"Oh my" A pause "Did you get it back?"

"Ah. The memories, yes. The time, no."

"Mm well, it was a bit scary and exciting to learn wizards were real." She says "One of them is cute."

"Were any of them Little People?"

"Little peopole?" Confusion "You mean supershort? Well no. I mean, I'm a troll, everyone is short to me, but not any shorter than average"

"Hm. Ok. Did you catch what... faction, I suppose, they called themselves?"

"I know the bad guys were the Technocrazy" A shiver "The hidden ones. Lucky I didn't get erased. IF Raven hadn't been there, well, it could have gone ugly."

"The others? Well, there was a verbena... he was the handsome one. Had a nordic vibe"
