but the chimerical side is ..world of no

To Fae eyes it looks like a centauress, and bare chested, but painted with the symbol of the Truthbranch house and blue body paint

A deep breath. "Thank you for the thought, Dame, but.... ah......"

He brightens. "Oh, wait, is this a prank?" Hopeful.

Every now and then, the stomps her hoof and yells out 'Make way, for The Lord of TRUTHBRANCH! "

"None so mighty! None so fighty! None so hung i ntheir tightywhites!" THe bike/centauress says

"Joke?" The pooka looks at him

The new Baron pinks up a bit.

"Ah."

"I suspect you do not like it?"

"It's not.... that is, I am ... overcome by the gesture but.... "

"I think you liked biking?" The pooka says "Builds up your calves? The baroness said you had excellent calves. The way she went on about them I thought perhaps you had invested in cattle"

August clears his throat. "Ah, well. I... ah.... well... between everything I'm not sure I'll have enough opportunity to be worthy of such a..... conveyance."

"But sirrah, the nocker who sold it to me tailor made it for you... her her calls?"

"I... do, yes. I do. Ah. Who sold it to you?" Curious.

"That common hold, the keykeyclub?"

"If you do not like her I.. mmm maybe we can get her tweaked to giggle instead? But tis rather sexist my lord" Fuss

"Well then, leap on it, give her a ride," Temerity suggests

August swallows. "Ah. Well. Perhaps.... someone else could .... give, ah, her purpose?"

"Well, I suppose we could change the words somehow ...do you know anyone who would want the ugly thing?"

"She's not... ugly. Ah." He perks. "Vince?"

"That scallywag?" Despite her words she smiles "Very well, I will arrange to have her fed to the lions"

"Ah. Yes. Yes, I think.... yes."

ANd Temerity takes the bike by the hand and leads her off

well by the handle

August relaxes. A bit.

A moment a later, a shot rings out.

Then Temerity comes out "It's done"

August looks stricken.

"Lord?" Noting the look

"Dame.... please... what has happened?"

"I put her with the Dougals to see if they could change the voice commands to something that defames our cowardly lion. They said yes...and then what they were working sang like a bird as it backfired"

August listens.... tries..... he shakes his head.

"You're a hard man to talk to, lord" Realization "Oh.. ah, the bike is.. it will ride the grand pris soon? "

"I.... I'm sorry, Dame. I don't understand. Coradel is better but she's got riding competitions and other courses just now......"

Temerity drags him to the dougal workshop. AN old model T has backfired. The bike? Save, and getting it's throat checked by honoria
