Vince makes as to tie it around one of August's upper thighs as to a Garter, but with a heave of a sigh, accepts that placement. Then, he puts his hands on each of August's shoulders, squaring up in front of him.
"My dear Liam. I wouldst not have you go forth onto the field of battle without my undying profession of love to thee.
Know ye this - whatever may befall you on the field of battle, or the battle of the tea table, in the lists or in the polls, by pen or sword, where-ever this fight takes you, and whatever the results. We stand by thee, Lion and mouse, ghost and Lioness, Birds and Goats and brownies all. And even if thy struggle comes to naught this day, the oak is not a willow to kneel, and we shall take up you battle anew, again and again, until the prize is won and the lantern shines high and bright amongst proud branches for all Houses to see. For love conquers all."
A pause, and he adds, with a rogueish purr in his undertone. "And after all, isn't Charity but a facet of love? I do love thee, Liam, never doubt that, for I have put even charity aside to be with you and cheer thee on this day."
