"Oh, yes. I'll reach out to him." Then to Zara, "A canopy? That sounds...interesting. But why wouldn't we need one?"

"It's a Jewish tradition." August explains.

A "this" point at the Liam.

"It symbolizes the home the couple will make."

"Ahhhh." Then a shrug. "Well, it sounds nice, but I doubt August's mother would approve." A false whisper to Zara, "I don't think she likes me much."

August blinks at her. "What? Why?"

"I think, mayhaps, she sees only the youth. Mothers worry, aye?"

A "this" point at the sluagh.

He sighs. "I suppose."

A lopsided quirk of a smile at that.

"I told you....."

A shrug. "I'm not bothered about it."

"Well....okay, not bothered much about it. It's irritating, but it'll hardly be an obstacle."

"One thing to comfort - time will prove your sincerity, and temper your youth."

"Maybe we should wait?" Reluctantly.

A blink at August. "No. No, we should not. In fact...sooner is better!"

A flash of a grin. "I just meant that is we wait, they'll see we're serious and we'll be older...."

"You two are Oathed. Why wait?"

"Besides, I must needs begin my campaign to serve as Best Maiden."

"Mostly for my parents. And pre Cana."

A surprised smile at Zara. "You'd do that? There would be a lot of people watching...."

"I'm not marrying your parents, August, nor you mine. And pre Cana...well...I'll talk to Father B."

She blushes. "Well, everyone truly watches the bride..."

Coradel smiles at that. "True."

"We did PreCana." He blinks. "Did you get extra homework?"

((I thought they hadn't finished.))

((I thought they had but she might have Sneaky Reasons.))

((We need to check with Mr. D, then because if they have then that's a HUGE difference in what I was thinking.))

She smiles at him. "No! Just...well, I want to make sure we can move forward smoothly. August...I'd like to try for September." It sounds like a suggestion, but...moreso.

He nods encouragingly. "Sure. Ah. Do you need help planning it?" He looks a little puzzled and glances between the ladies.

A bright smile, and a happy and abrupt hug. "No! Yes! I don't know, let me check with Delores. I'll want your input, of course. So, we

need to pick a day and make sure the church is available, or another suitable venue. I suppose two months isn't much time, but of course it can be managed!"

"Two months...." he sounds a little stunned.

"Well...yes. September." Logical-sounding.

"Maybe early October?" Accommodating.

"Whatever you want." Earnestly.

Again, that bright smile beams at him, and she turns to Zara. "He always knows the right answer."

A soft chuff. "Aye."

She claims a sudden kiss from August, then moves away. "All right...off to speak with Delores!"

August still looks a little dazed, and blinks at Zara as Coradel departs.

And the baroness sweeps away, out of the garden and towards the steward's office.

A shrug. "Fiona."

"Yes." A sigh. He glances back at the book. "Fiona-Liam...." he touches his redacted reference wit a fingertip.

"Maybe meant to be?"

"How do you mean?" He lifts his grey eyes to her.

"Well... memories are fuzzy, but you and she were a force in the before-time."

"Passion and wisdom, nu?"

"I suppose." At least he is -trying- not to worry.

"The sluagh should not be telling you to think positively, August."
