Things are quiet around the library.

Just how Zara likes it.

Yes, and yet, even the halls outside the library have gotten quieter.

As if conversation dies even before it hits sluagh range

why even the boggans aren't chattering as much as they travel by the library door.

Sluagh range is greater than most suspect...

And really, who knows when Zara is there...

So when one boggan, Charity, peeks in to see if Zara is in

Well, the lights are out.

she turns the lights on carefully.

...No Zara.

Well, no Zara that she can see.

"Oh goodness, It's okay, Meggi, I guess she's gone."

An unseen Zara, however, is stewing over a possible conspiracy.

Another boggan comes out, "You can never be sure. Now, remember, she doesn't want it TOO clean in here."

"I know, I know, I won't wipe away webs. " Charity says "A good hard clean would work wonders though. "

"Sluagh" Meggi chats, "What can one do?"

"Yes yes... and won't she be pleased?" Wipe clean.

A protective swell towards her spider friends...

Well, some clean isn't too bad. Hannah's influence.

They aren't overdoing it,after all, the librarian is in charge here by will of Sir August and the Baroness.

"She'll be surprised I hope anyway" Meggi says "She's a sweet enough girl. Cares a lot more for folks here than she lets on."

Surprised? By cleaning?

"Sluagh are very reserved, poor things. Sometimes I think they need a hug," Charity nods, "But yes, I think she'll like it when it's sprung on her."

Poor? Hardly! Dignified! A silent bristle.

"Oh yes, if we're in luck... she'll never see it coming" The two smile conspiratorially at each other.

Eyes narrow.

"Well, she's had it coming for a long time now" Charity points out

"No denying that," meggi says "But we can't linger here, she might return ... and eavesdrop. You know what busybodies sluagh can be."

"I know, rite?" The two women move off. The library strategically cleaner.

Hmph!

They turned down the lights as they left...but the door ajar, she watches them as they leave. The pristine hallway's silence is ominous... someone doesn't want to talk too much where sluagh can hear!

Conspiracy!

Hm.

A brief commune, and 1122 is sent scurrying down the hallway.

1122 is almost surprised to be called on for a mission again! He regrets he has gotten out of shape! To counter this... he does a thirty second training montage before heading off.

Du du da da da..du doo dee deed dah.. dooo do dhee daaa... gonna crawl now...

tiny push ups, eight legs running in place... shadow boxing...

And he is off!

Shortly he begins to report.. seems Vince gives a lot to Charity... 🍆 Should he follow Meggi instead?
