He nods. "I know. Coradel is kind, and she genuinely does care. That kindness and care isn't common place, is sad." He pauses. "Who did Rollo fight with?"

"A troll, ironically sir. No affiliation that I know of. Yes, Rollo won. It must have been a kin to a Rotweiller getting it's ass kicked by a scottish terrer"

He gives her a patient look. "Ok. I'll ask Rollo." without blame "And, language please."

A blush "Apologies, sir. "

"It's ok." He forgives. "It must have looked very much like that, although Rollo is not a small guy."

"Yes i suppose it is all relative. "

August nods agreement. "What else?"

"Well, you've asked me to keep track of mortals more, a very liam lesson, well... there's a young company that is trying to work with solar panels and... "she begns to talk about some dreamers wanting a cleaner greener world and how they might need encouragement.

As he leaves the library to look for Bachdion, August also keeps an eye out for Thane Rollo.

It is Rollo he finds first, on duty.

August smiles as he approaches. "Thane."

"Sir Scribe" The muscled boggan thane gives a nod

"I wonder if I could ask you a question?"

"Sure, I guess. But if it's something brainy you'll want Miss Zara or the Seer. Or maybe Sir Bachdion... they're the eggheads. I'm just a working grunt"

A gentle smile. "I understand you recently had a clash with someone. A fight, after an insult? Who did you fight with?"

"A dumbass, sir. Most smart people know better than to provoke me"

"A name?"

Rollo raises a brow "Why you wanna know?"

Arms crossed, gee, for a boggan, even the muscles on his arms have muscles

"I don't seek retribution, although part of me wants to. I want to know who, for future reference. Anyone who disrespects the Baroness should, I think, have an eye on them."

"I normally consider it one and done, sir. A thane punches some big mouth off who trashes his baroness over drinks on his off hours is coool... him doing that then running to a noble to give names sounds more like ratting folks out on top of it. If you want? I'll let you know if he mouths off again"

August nods. "I would appreciate that. But I also want the name. You didn't run to me, I came to you. You didn't bring it up, I did. And, I consider it one and done too. I won't see whoever-it-is out."

"Is this an order, sir? I gotta respect the chain of command and you're a knight, but otherwise it's a matter of my private time, and I don't gotta say nothing. so.. I need to hear if this is like official"

"Would it make it easier if it was?"

"Suppose yeah, would also make it possible."

He nods with some regret. "I understand. I've been in similar situations. Yes, it's an order. Please."

"BIcks. Tall, Blue, bigger mouth on him than most trolls."

August nods. "Thank you, Rollo. And on a personal note.... thank you. I appreciate what you did."

"Fft, would have likely done it for the old baron too. Only person who gets to complain about my bosses is others working for em." he jerks a thumb at his chest "Pansy ass blue boy wants to trash her while she's out of arrow range? he better show me where he gets the nerve. "

He nods again. "This Bicks doesn't work here, then?"

"Nah, I was out in town.. like I said, private matter. "

"Ok. Thanks for clarifying that for me. And thanks, again, for what you did." And unless there is anything else? He seeks out Bachdion.

Rollo shrugs "No big." And resumes watch./ Oswald comes up , "Ready to take over the shift., Rollo. Any trouble?" /"Nah. Sidhe doing the Sidhe things over Shes they live to please, you sees?" // "Uh..what?"/Rollo sighs "No one gets my inner poet."

Bachdion is talking to Jack in the bar/tavern in the belly of the hold!

August can't seem to break the habit of tapping at the tavern doorframe.....

"Ah. Hello... guys." He enter as if he expects the cops to bust him.

"Come on in, August, don't worry, I don't card noble wilders" Jack says cleaning a glass, "What can I get you?"

"Ah... some of that fruit-flavored sparking water?" He takes a seat.

"Sure," he prepares it and hands it over.

Bachdion says 'How are you doing?"

"Thank you." Turning to the satyr. "Good. Have to head back to school tonight." He tastes the water and asks casually. "Yourself?"

((Ignoring the nap-time break, figure it's still early afternoon....))

"Not bad actually" Bachdion says "Tutoring is in demand. Lately it's trolls. Which is novel."

"I understand you're working with Earl?" August chuckles a little. "Maybe we should do a little work together. I tried to combine athleticism and Wayfare on Yule with Coradel and.... it didn't go well."

"oh? DO tell?" Curious look from his teacher

"Cantrip completely failed, and we were in the Freehold too! Weak bunk, I guess... but, she got away. And I lost. So." He shrugs. "If I'm going to combine the two, I should practice." Sip.

"Mm Maybe Earl wouldn't mind sharing lessons with you. " Bachdion says
