August nods and goes to the door, finding a servant and asking for tea service within a few moments.

"There.... should be pretty quick." He returns. He glances at Earl, then to Zara. "I'm glad you came."

She seems quiet - yes, she's a sluagh, but still.

"Of course. I made sure of the invitation myself." Gently.

"Surely, you planned this some time ago..."

"We're not party people, August, but you are a friend"

He nods to the troll. "I appreciate that, Earl." Then, to Zara, "Of course Yule was planned some time ago but I really did make sure you got an invitation. I wasn't sure you'd accept but... I'm glad you did."

Her fingertips twist against each other. "....Aye?"

Earl pulls a chair out for Zara if she's not already seated

She delicately sits, dark eyes avoiding quite meeting any other set.

"Yes, of cou..." There's a tap at the door and he goes to get the tea things, wheeling the cart in with murmured thanks for the delivery. "Yes, of course I am."

August makes himself busy pouring tea.

"how have youbeen, August?" he takes his own seat.

"Ah. Well. Good, I guess. Oh, Earl.... I just remembered. Do you know anyone who's looking for a room mate in KC?"

A glance to Zara, unsure if he should speak of the plans they mentioned, but thenbck "I maybe moving... which means Doyle might need one"

"Really? Mmm...." A frown as he thinks. "Well. Would you recommend Doyle as a room mate?"

"He's impulsive at times, quick to jump on a thought. He means well in it, but has learned a few lessons recently regarding trying to do better for others when it's not his view that matters. he's a satyr, a dancer, he does usually pay his half of the rent early."

August nods slowly. "Ok. Thanks for that. Is it ok if I approach him about it?"

She watches her mug change colors, and silently reads the titles as they are revealed.
