Ah, the library; from Eiluned to Fiona and now...part Liam? Part no-House? It has a dragon, that's for certain.

The young Librarian sits reading, making notes, and thinking. It's after Mass on Sunday, his devotions done, and he's made the rounds of the mortals he is tending.

Bronte appears first, swooping in on tiny golden wings.

So serious, so studious.... oblivious, really, to the world around him.

Until a dragon lands on his head.

He starts, jerking, but the little claws hold. "What... hey! Hey... oh... ah, hello Bronte. Sorry, I was distracted."

"Greetings and salutations!" She trills

"Fanfares and Hallucinations." He responds gravely, eyes rolled upward to see her.

The dragonet streeeeetches her neck and blinks a friendly greeting at the sidhe.

A soft chuff from the doorway. "Bronte..."

August bolts up, swaying then to keep the dragonette balanced as he turns. "Z-Zara?"

"August."

He blinks at her, tongue-tied. "Hi."

She tilts her head. "...Aug?"

He swallows. "Nothing. Ah. I was, ah, reviewing our notes and looking at options." He looks at his papers, then shyly back to her. "You, ah, you here to work? Can I help?" Says the Sidhe with a Bookwyrm on his head.

She fusses with her braid. "I... could work, aye. Though I thought... I thought to ask you a favor. Earl has been feeling very... protective..."

"Anything." Instantly.

OOC HA!

"It... he has been at Firnost. As near as I can tell, he has often been."

"I wish to go, to see him with mine own eyes... I can see only so much through glass..."

"But Earl has made me promise not to go alone." A soft huff. Injustice!

August stands, papers and work forgotten. "We'll go now?"

She blinks. "Aye.. we could..."

"If, if that's what you want. Ah. I'm sorry, I didn't let you finish." He swallows and sits. "Please continue."

"Earl thinks.. and I don't disagree.. that disguises may be wise."

He nods, listening, bright-eyed.

"I know it..." A frown. "I wish to see him. Know what face he wears."

"When I scry, all I see is a flame-colored blur..."

"He must have powerful protections, to evade you." Loyally.

"I believe it to be a treasure."

"Up close... in the same room.. mayhaps I can do aught to weaken or redirect its force."

August swallows and nods. "But if that happens... he'll know?"

"He may." She shrugs.

August nods. "What, ah, how can I help?"

"I.. well.. mayhaps you could be company? And you are one who knows noble ways..."

"He presents himself as a Dougal, I am most certain."

"I'd be honored." He says softly.

"...I told the Count."

"But, well, I've little faith they will find him."

“You can figure out what the villain fears by his choice of weapons.” Bronte says

"Aye, sweetheart..." She reaches to scritch.

August holds very still.

"The Count..... I'm sure he will be vigilant."

"Connie Brockway, The Bridal Season" The bookwyrm says sourcing. She's been doing that on and off. She's not just a parrot that repeats things after all. She reads and that makes her far superior to a mere beast. She knows where the wild things are, she knows where the purloined letter lays.

"That's a new one. Did Earl give it?"

A shake of her head "The Great God Pan is still alive"

".... Bachdion?"

August focuses.

A nod

August looks up again. "Bronte... should I be concerned for or about Sir Bachdion?"

"I think Bachdion gae her the book..."
