August smiles bashfully. "Thank you, Tylar. I hope this works out; you're very nice too, and I think you have a lot to offer."

He claps his hands together "So my first orders or duty sir? Weapons cleaned, armor prepared? NEed me to help in the library?"

"Not before I speak with Miss Zara."

He thinks. "I'd like the three of us to take dinner together tonight, perhaps with the rest of the court or just one or two others..."

"Please locate the Baronesses and ask them if they'd care to join us. Sir Magnus too, please. Squire Colton is also invited, if Baroness Derynwydd allows."

"Right away, Sir"

"I've done the best I can with my weapon and armor but... I suspect they could use some attention. In the meantime, I need to speak with Miss Shadecandle."

He nods, bows and races off to tell the others...

Velvet Shadecandle runs her fingers along the book before her. The light she reads by is dim, and it bothers her not. The book appears to be one on Heraldry.

August, looking for the girl, thinks of places he might find Zara, or where they encountered each other at the Hollows, and looks in those places.... including, of course, the library.

She looks up. and rises "Sir August." And much like Zara, puts her hand fingers splayed, over her chest

A fond smile at the familiar gesture, and he bows back. "Miss Shadecandle."

He shuts the door quietly behind him and approaches.

"Do you have a moment to talk?"

"of course" She whispers

He gestures politely for her to be seated, and then seats himself. "I hope I find you well?"

"how well is up to you, sir, and if miss zara gave you her thoughts?" hopeful

A quick flash of a grin. "She did, and they were very complimentary. And more important, she feels I might be suitable for you. So, if you are still willing, I would like to ask you; will you serve me as a squire?"

A brief flash of black gums before she remembers she's supposed to be dignified, and she instead curtsies "yes, sir august. "

He smiles too, and rises to bow before they both retake their seats. "Now... Mister Tylar also asked to be my squire, and he will be. Is that alright with you? There will be two of you."

"oh?" pause she muses "I suppose I can work around a boggan."

He chuckles. "I hope we can all learn to work together, not around each other. But, good enough."

"Now... about serving a Liam. Any second thoughts on that?"

"I do not intend to boast of it in certain circles sir. I would not ask you to hide, but prudence is adapting to one's surroundings"

He nods. "I agree, but I have promised not to... avoid who, and what, I am. So I wear these badges." He indicates the Liam and Truthbranch on his chest. "You don't need to. But it will be known. Sometimes people can be unkind."

"for formal ceremony I might, sir" A consideration at his garb "perhaps a darker shade of blue with just a touch of silver ...only the observant will realize I'm paying any homage"

He nods. "That would be acceptable."

"I won't ask you for a formal oath." He adds. "And if it isn't working out, tell me. If we can't change things, we'll go our separate ways and I will do my best to see you find someone who can help you with your goals."

"One... other thing." He pauses. "Your interest in what happens... when a Sidhe leaves this earth. That would be valuable knowledge for my House. I would ask that anything you record about your observations, from this point forward, on the subject, be available to my House. Is that acceptable?"

At his LASt comment, she blushes "i would be honored, sir. if I had doubts about you they would be aleved by your understanding . learning is..well, if there is a reason we are placed here greater than to seek understanding i know it not"

August nods, agreeing with a warm smile. "Very well. I would like you to join myself and Tyler, and the Baronesses and Sir Magnus, along with Squire Colton, at dinner tonight. I understand you have ... different tastes. We can accomodate them."

"I probably don't need to say it but... please stay away from Sir Sergi, and if you have any issues, you will let me know."

A blush "I ..don't often eat with non sluagh, sir. but...yes I'll be there." At mention of the Varich she nods "any sluagh past her third squirm knows to avoid the House of the Cold sun"

"Alright then. Will you take my hand on this agreement?" He offers it.

She offers her slender hand, the skin so thin that it looks ready to bruise anytime

He just holds it, lifting up and down once.

She shakes in such a fashion and smiles, a bit of a sigh, then she shakes her head "pardon...silly notion intruded on things. yes, i will be there tonight"

"And thank you for this chance,sir august"

His warm summer-rain eyes regard her. "A silly notion? What was it? You're most welcome, of course."

A blush 'tis of no matter, sir. Truly. just a thought that your eyes were very pleasant. " she gathers her books 'i should prepare. excuse"

and she will retreat with her book in hand. Leaving August perhaps missing something.

He blinks, confused. Puzzled even. And then goes to find the Baroness, to update her on the situation.
