Earth Runes is busy, the preperation for Pranks giving, the sparring, the training, the squire want to be swarming the area

Coradel enjoys her regular sparring practice, and her riding, and her courtly duties...but she does detect and undercurrent of building excitement.

A satyr lad bows, Bazyl, "Baroness?"

"Yes, Bazyl?" She gives the boy a smile.

"I'm going to be a squire... i mean, Dame Leonora...she's said she'll take me. We talked. She said it might take a bit, but I might even join House Fiona if I earn it but still... woot! I was looking for Sir August? Have you seen him?"

"Oh, that's wonderful! And I'm sure Dame Leonora will instruct you very, very well." She gives him a quick congratulatory hug. "Now, as for where August is, I haven't seen him in an hour or so...have you checked his study?"

"Yes, but not recently, he might have circled back." He enjoys the hug and turns "I can check again. Did you want to see him too? I just want to thank him for putting a good word"

"Yes, let's see if he's interrupt-able." She turns and walks with Bazyl towards August's study. "Ambitious for House Fiona, hm?" A pleased smile.

"It has the most beautiful woman, Baroness, the bravest warriors, and they treat other kiths right.."

"Well, we do our best. Hmm...." A notion seems to occur to her, but she shakes it off as they reach August's door, and she knocks three quick raps.

"Maybe he's not in?" After the knocking

"August?" A gentle call, and another series of light tapping.

"Coming." Quietly, and he opens the door.

"Hm. Well, I suppose not. Let's see. Oh, of course, he may be at the library...."

"Hello." He smiles, pleased at the vision which greets him.

"Oh! Hello, Love. I'm sorry to interrupt. Bazyl wanted to speak with you briefly."

She returns his smile with an appreciative one of her own.

"Hello, Sir August. I just wanted to thank you. Leonora, uhm, that is DAME Leonora, is taking me on as her squire. She told me youtalkked to her about it, so we talked, and she thought about it so..."He holds out his hand "I wanted to thank you!"

August smiles again, a gentle expression, and shakes his hand. "I couldn't be happier that it's turning out this way. Well done, Bazyl."

"I think they'll make an excellent team as knight-and-squire, don't you?"

Bazyl shakes firmly up and down "I Sure hope so. And I hope you get a squire, Sir August. You deserve one and you're a great guy"

Coradel smiles at the boy, and then at August.

"Thank you." Sincerely.

"I'll leave you guys be, as soon as I learn Dame Leonora's time for the squiring ...we may make a party of if it. If so you're invited"

"Both of you"

"We'd... ah, thank you."

"Thank you, Bazyl, that's lovely."

"I look forward to calling you Squire Bazyl soon."

"Woot! I mean, may I be excused?" He bows

"By all means." A solemn nod.

Permission she gives, he races off!

She watches him go, then turns to August. "That was adorable."

August grins. "It was, and he is, yes."

Her smile lingers as she looks at him...

"Ah... what?" He clears his throat. "I, ah, I haven't heard from Zara or Delores yet."

"About the others."

"Oh, I'm just appreciating you." She reaches to brush a bit of his hair back from his forehead, and her fingertips trail down his cheek. "Maybe I will go talk with Delores. I suppose I should let you return to your work...?"

The curl hovers... and flops back down. "I... I could be done. Just working on a.... a project."

Delores is approaching.

Coradel gives a curious look and is about to ask...but then there's Delores. "Oh! We were just speaking about you."

"You were?"

August smiles with some fondness. "Hello Delores."

"Yes. Young Bazyl was just here, and we were wondering what ideas you may have about the other potential squires."

August clears his throat. "Tylar."

"Oh, Tylar, lovely boy. I talked to him yes, but... " She ponders "He seems to be a bit embarrassed to be a boggan. Well, that's not quite right, but he seems to feel trapped by it."

"Yes..." Coradel nods. "I think he feels trapped by others' expectations of his kith."

She ponders, "I hope he appreciates our advantages in time. I think whoever he has a mentor needs to allow him to come to appreciate his kith as well as knnight virtue..."

August nods thoughtfully.

"We certainly don't want him to see being a squire as a way to deny his kith...that would probably make trouble in the long run."

"That's what I think should be a main part of his knight selection He needs someone who has an appreciation for our kith even if they aren't of the kith"
