"Thane! Thane, are you... ah. Are you ... well?"

"I'm well, SIr. SOmething wrong?"

"There is something... very wrong... in the kitchen. Everyone started... singing and dancing and... "

"Singing and..dancing, sir?" A raised brow

"I know how it sounds but... yes. Do you know where Delores is?"

"One of her few moments off, Sir. I can text her, but don't worry, if there's a danger, there's nothing I can't handle."

"No, don't, ah, don't text her. Can you find Sir Almandine? Or Magnus?"

"of course sir... "

And the troll starts to explain, only, his voice gains a cadence as he does so...

"As I walk through the hold, patrolling the grounds
I try to stay alert and see what's around.
Because I've been standing on sentry duty for many a year
So if I see a threat, I stab with my spear"

"Thane, can you stop? Are you ok?" August hesitates, growing agitated.

"But I never lanced a dark knight that didn't deserve it,
A thane lashing out, you know that's unheard of
Just watch where you're walking, treat the nobles with class
Because if you disrespect my bosses I have to chuck out your ass"

August fights the urge to provide backgrond vocals of 'oooo aooooo'

Unless, of course, he decides NOT to fight it

August shakes his head. "If you can, go find one or both of those two." And, increasingly worried, he heads off to look for Coradel.

Coradel is appreciating a recent addition to one of the galleries.

It takes him a while to find her. As he searches......?

Coradel, unaware at August's ..predicament smiles at the latest drawing of a minstrel serenading a lady

A brief, graceful dance step, as if she can hear the minstrel's silent music....

if August walks by the library, he might hear a whispering jingle, or might not. But eventually he will find the gallery room

He trots in, lighting up at the sight of her. "Coradel?"

A graceful turn, her skirts swirling perfectly. "August!" A bright smile.

He is obviously agitated and not in a good way. "Something weird is going on. You don't feel like you're going to sing, do you?"

"I...well..." She pauses, thinking,

Then a shrug. "No, not particularly. Why?"

He takes a full breath. "Good, because everyone else is. The whole kitchen burst into a full song-and-dance when I asked for a sandwich, and I left one of the Thanes in the hallway singing as well."

"Wait...what? Just...out of nowhere?"

"Yes! Exactly. I was thinking the Seer, or Magnus, might have some idea of what's going on...."

"Let me see. Show me..." She takes his hand.

He nods, takes her hand, and leads her back along the halls, perhaps past Oswald, to the kitchen.

Where they find....?

oswald has moved on.

the kitchen has boggans, one of whom has prepared meal for sandwhich for August, just how he likes it 'Sir August? You left so abruptly. Here sir, is this for her or to go?"

Coradel has been all but dragged into the kitchen by August, prepared for something dire...and now she merely stands there and looks around...and then looks at him.

August is watching the staff carefully, with concern. "Are.... is everyone ok?"

"why wouldn't we be, sir? "One lady looks ath im oddly//"You feeling well sir?"

"What... what do you remember about... when I came in, and when I left?"

"August said you were all...singing? Possibly there was dancing...?" Coradel adds helpfully.

Confusion, the boggans look at each other, "Singing? " "I hum while I cook" One confesses

Again, she looks at August as if expecting an explanation.

Helplessly. "It was a full-on dance number, like something out of a Disney film, no offence."

That last to the boggans.

"classic disney or more recent?"

the other boggans look at the one who asked 'Oh come on"

Then the boggans say "Sir August, we.. as a rule we're a bit too busy to put on musical numbers"

"I understand, but you -did.- And you don't remember it. And Thane Oswald did too."
