"Exactly."

"Mm." She nods, accepting this. "But now...not so much of an urge to kill?"

"No." Steady. "Not so much."

A slight grin. "We can manage 'not so much.'"

He takes a deep breath, steadying himself, and nods soberly.

That earns him a soft kiss.

He bends his head to kiss her back.

The kiss lingers a bit, then she parts and moves back slightly to say, "Let's go for a drive, August. Show me parts of this town that you think I should know better."

"Ah? Ok." Easily agreeable, he leads the way to the garage, gets a set of keys, and opens her door before taking the driver's seat and heading out.
