Innish nods, "Aye, but let's not be too blunt back if I may say. Honest, but smooth if we can."

"He's... not well tethered to mortal trappings, that's for sure.'

"Well, I expect I'll learn to adjust to both of them. And...the fanciness of all this is making me almost forget that I'm annoyed by the necessity."

"I think they are worthy of the oath." She shrugs.

"I trust your judgment, Deryn, please don't think otherwise."

As it lands, and appears, figures come up to the Chariot oh yes, there are guards, but also there is an elegant satyress in a fine garb that's rather swashbuckling herself. She looks only a bit older than sparrow and announces, "Space, good thanes. These are honored guests."

Coradel smiles at the welcoming force, and nods graciously at the satyr. She waits for Innish to disembark and announce her.

Innish steps out, "Presenting, Baroness Coradel Truthbranch, Ruler of Earth Runes, Defender of the people, Commander at the Siege of Shadows, and Lioness of Fiona fostered under moonlit grace now a power."

"Oh, he's good," she murmurs to August before disembarking.

Sparrow smiles, and waits back for her turn.

Her posture is strong and tall, her head held proudly as she nods to the satyr who is greeting them.

"Presenting Baroness Heir to the Hold, Hero twice over at the Seige of shadows, Chancellior of Earth Runes, Lady Deryn the Ogresbane, most gracious daughter of the silver oak."

She blushes faintly as she descends.

Coradel smiles as Deryn comes to stand with her.

The knights are also heroes, and of great deeds. For a 'humble scribe' it turns out Sir August has more than one under his belt. Inish does not skirt these "Subduer of the Dreamfiend Tantalus, rescuer of fae soul from cold iron.... " yes, quite a few before "scribe of Earthen Runes" is even mentioned.

Coradel turns to give August a slightly arch look.

And yes, 'Beloved husband of Coradel' was thrown in there.

August is definitely embarrassed, but trying to manage it stoically.

Sir Magnus also receives his druthers, and once the truthbranches are declared, the other knights get their moment. JEnnet blushes prettily at some of the praise. She feels greatly dwarfed compared to the others here. Leonora, who actually fought at the seige too looks pleased as punch though and while she does not preen, she's not blushing. Bachdion has mention of his own deeds, many of which predate the arrival of Coradel and some a mystery to his once student "Beloved of A fate, Retriever of the Hot Tub of the Amazons of Lesbos, Mentor to the Abbey of our Lady of no longer sorrowing"

Deryn represses a small giggle at Bachdion's feats.

A thoughtful look in her mentor's direction.

An introduction, "And Vincent a most loyal subject of the hold and attendant. So beloved is the baroness, we commoners willingly show our support and affection." He adds.

Coradel smiles graciously and says, "Herald Innish has used his skill most expertly, and I thank him for his service."

Leonora is starting at Bachdion too. SO many questions, but she can't ask them now.

The satyress smiles, "I am simply Ilexi, acting herald of this fine hold, on behalf of the Count Reidar of House Aesin, and his partner in the wheel, Countess Ruxandra of Beaumayn. Of the Baronesses Truthbranch we have heard, and many others besides, but the sheer magnitude was, speaking of myself, not known to me and I am three times honored. Please, do follow, do you require coats or cloaks or the like to be taken up by our staff?"

Sparrow falls in line - this is Coradel's hour.

Coradel nods to the others to avail themselves of the opportunity to abandon outer layers if they wish. "You say you are acting herald. Has a permanent herald not been chosen?"

"There is some indecision on certain roles in the hold." She says then adds, "The count prefers one style, the countess another, and until a final choice is made, they have agreed upon me in the interim. Technically they could just each have their herald of their chosing for their half the year but many heralds would not wish to work only half a year. Complicated. Fear not. My own humble means cannot compare to master Herald Innish, but I shall endeavor to do them justice as if I were sworn to them both with all the love I see and hear from his own lips."

Coradel smiles and nods, following in the satyr's wake.

The Lakehouse is in Flux, they can feel that. The nordic adornments where once it was far more Irish feel and are new.

Coradel senses that it's a less smooth transition for this holding than it was at EarthRunes. The Baron prepared the way for her...no such preparation was made by the previous holder here.

"Freeholds are amazing..." She grins, fingertips tracing against emergent knotwork carvings on the chair rail.

"Yes...I hope this one settles smoothly into its new identity."

Bits of Amber flicker from the eyes of statues on display. And there is a longhouse like feeling to the main hall, and yet... a touch of ...Normandy! yes, the place seems to be of some early Norman vibration... Viking blood with French trappings?

An intrigued look at the combination of influences.

Normandy is fine and fair.

At the end of the long Hallway, there are two thrones on a Dias of sorts. One two steps higher than the other. The Count has the high chair, a fit and handsome sidhe to be sure, muscular with braids and beard in a style that makes one think of hollywood viking, but the blood of the Vanir and Aesir also... to be in his presence is to make one wonder if trolls were truly the viking dream after all.

August walks quietly beside Coradel.

The lower chair has Ruxandra, she is dressed elegantly, as before, and next to the sidhe she is a shadow to his bright candle, and yet, her eyes dance and miss nothing and perhaps this works to her advantage.

August on one side, Deryn on the other. She holds her wings just so - partially spread, mantled aboverher shoulders like some renaissance seraph.

Coradel looks up at both the Count and Countess, a proud lift to her head. She waits where the herald indicates.

...and savors the tableau she and her family are making...surely Magnus is part of the arrangement? She glances back to him for a moment.

Magnus actually seems to have lost any apparent anxiety he had before. He is as cool as a cucumber, and, being her son, as handsome a lion as one could expect to meet in ones dreams. With apologies to Vince

"Would you like to do the honors again, sir? or may I?" Ilexi asks Innish

Innish smiles, "I'm old my dear, I may not be able to do this long," And... he announces them. Again as before, no less dramatically "Your Excellencies...." And goes on.

Coradel smiles proudly as Innish lets it be known just how flat out impressive each one of them is.

"An honor, indeed," Count Reider claps, "that was as fine a boast as I have heard, and yet no less than I expected. herald?" He looks to Ilexi.
