A deep breath, "Normally this is where I'd offer to trade favors in influencing a barony that's empty get some candidate you'd like because House Ailil would covertly support him or her in exchange for your influence on the Unseelie behalf...but that miht strike you as a bribe so forget that. I can tell you that more than one Troll is making progress in nearby baronies. I know you like and respect the kith so I thought you'd see it as good news"

"Oh - the Dougal?" Her wings perk and she grins.

"He's one of them, yes" He smiles and shakes his head "What is it with Scottish accents that has folks eager to follow ? "

"I got nothing. But oh, I'm glad he's doing well. I liked him."

"I know" he says "He wouldn't be my pick for a liege, but he should be a fine neighbor if he gets it. Now, as for me? well, I've talked, and you've listened. Thank you for that. I know that we are as far away in House and Court as you can probably get, but you've been open and fair enough to heed my concerns."

"Thank you. And please, don't hesitate to seek me out if you have other concerns. I think.. I think you may have inspired the solution to a personal conundrum, actually."

"Well, if the solution is one of my liking, all the better, if not, at least I helped you out" wryly "Pardon me, I have to go pester the Seer." he rises to go

Zara comes through the trods, via a pass through Firnost. She has a box wrapped in grey and silver paper. "So I've been working on it for a few months - August, well, he has a trueheart now, and she's the Baroness here..."

"Yeah? Thought you were kinda sweet on him?"

The 80's have returned.

A sigh. "Yes. But, well - he never... well, it is what it is? We can be friends."

"Friends is good." She agrees. "An' I like the troll. For what that's worth."

"The library is lovely, though! Wait until you see! There's a first edition Jane Austen AND a first edition of Leibniz' Monadology..."

She pinks faintly. "You do like Earl? Sometimes... it can be hard to tell sometimes, with nockers. I'm glad."

Miriam eyeballs her. "You lived with nockers all this time, you don' know?"

"It can be hard!"

"I'm pretty sure the Uncles approve. He's usually boychick."

"Hirim calls August goyboy."

"Heh. Yeah, well, he is."

Miriam shakes her head as they float/stomp up to the manor. "Nockers are easy to figure out. Somea these other kiths, -they're- hard."

"I know. I... worry, I guess. I mean, he's very dear to me but I don't know if he's what anybody in the family quite... expected?"

She ducks her head, flashing a shy smile. "Nope. Surprise sluagh."

"Yeah." As they make their way down the hallway. "Ya know.... I'da given a lot to be there for that."

"Hehe found me. A lot of that day is fuzzy, I was pretty little. Grover came out of my book to talk to me. And then... oh, Mama was SO LOUD she made my head hurt...."

"Hey, she didn't know. She meant well."

"I know. And she's very good about all of my.... quirks."

"Hey, she puts up with Hirim...."

"Aye!" Zara bounces ahead to open it, quietly beaming.

Someone has put math books in the horror section.
