"Come in, Cole." She's still seated on the bed, a lapful of labrador. Her wings are relaxed, feathers fluffed, though there are streaky remnants of tears on her cheeks.

He comes in sheepishly

"So uhm... " He shuffles his feet

"Cole..." she hesitates.

The puppy is in puppy heaven

"Cole, this is a very big gift. Sergei said he didn't even think... how did..."

"It was a mighty quest."

"Do you like her?"

"In two days? Colton..." A sigh. "She's wonderful. Yes."

"Sir Sergei helped," He admits, "what are you going to name her?"

Chewing on da fingers,with a very soft mouth

"I don't know! Ladybird?"

He grins, "sounds like a fine name, though she may have to grow into the lady part"

"What would you call her?"

"I think that's a great name. She's your dog. Though I'll help walk her and stuff. Sir Sergei says she can hang around the kennels if you need her to."

"I might. At least until summer break..."

Licking at the fingers now.

Another laugh. "Oh, you silly darling..."

"I think she's a bit of attention hog."

A smile though

"Well, I hope you like competition. Look at that face!"

"Ha. I don't mind it, too much." He says and moves to rub the puppy's belly , "hi Ladybird."

"She's definitely the cute one."

"Did Sergei tell you we'll be getting in a few more hounds?"

"yes, he did. He's looking into all sorts of options. Greyhounds and Rotties and more."

"Think you'll be working with them?"

"with your permission, I'd like to. Did you know you can become an accredited dog walker and more?"

"I didn't! And of course you can, so long as you don't annoy Sergei."

"Maybe we can train Ladybird to do things... Labs are smart, so a fae version must be..."

"Very smart' he says "Though we don't want to enchant her until she's had a chance to grow some"

"Well, no. She has to grow up a bit. We grow up first, don't we?"

"yup."

Ladybird flops around and starts to explore the bed

Another soft chuckle. "Maybe she's a Fiona. Look at her go."

"Maybe, but no one is perfect?" Humor attempt

"Hey, I thought you were thinking Fiona?"

She's exploring, but not sure about this 'edge of the world thing'

or edge of the bed

She plucks up the dog and transfers her to the floor for further exploration.

Oh and she's off, a nose to the ground, and under the bed

Sparrow laughs. "Definitely Fiona."

"..Or Eiluned, they're curious."

"Maybe a Dougal, I think she likes fine crafts, she's sniffing your shoes"

"Which are not food..." leaning down to look under the bed.

She's THINKING about it, geez that's a fun smell

wag hopeful

"Come here, Ladybird." She makes a series of silly sounds, coaxing.

Shoes smell nice, but the winged lady is better. A happy wag, and a playful bound.

"GOOD girl!" Praise and pets. "She is wonderful, Colton."

"Pretty bright" He agrees, "But when she gets bigger that tail is gonna knock things off tables."
