"Hey Cole. What's up? Flowers?" She stops beside him, looking at the flowers.

There is a rather unusual flower present. A thick, tawny stem, and an orangey golden bulb, not yet opened. It sways softly in the breeze.

A jump then, "Ah ..yes." A BIg Blush, "I... just trying to figure out what sort a ...a girl would like. It's expected, I think."

He does look confused at the orange one, "Never seen one of those before."

"Nether have I. It's not ready yet, whatever it is."

"I thought I did spot you with a girl at Carnival..."

"Yeah, I was in the disco ball...great costume huh? pretty good for a dare."

Twitch, twitch, and several of the other flowers are swaying now.

"Fancy! Did Bert help you?" She shifts her weight, standing on one hip as she watches. "I wonder if they know you are planning to pick some..."

"He did... and... well, now I feel almost bad if they'r'e gonna move like that..." He says surprised, "But you kiss a girl you bring her flowers, it's like a rule for Fiona holds right?"

"Could do flowers. Or candy!"

"Candy might be good." he touche the stalk of the bulby one that started this

"Everybody likes chocolate. Safe bet."

"Thanks, Baroness. I ... I didnt' even think she liked me.."

The stalk twitches away, giving his palm a soft slap, and then is pulled out of sight into the rhododendrons. An amused rumble comes back. "At least buy me a drink first?"

"Whoa!"

She blinks, then laughs. "Chimera."

A rustle of leaves, a stretch, and... Vince doesn't so much as stand, as looounge his way out from behind the shrubbery. "You found my napping spot. Busted." A long sigh. "Now they're going to want to make me work.

"Heya, Vince."

"oh, hello, " The lad is suprised. "Sorry, didn't mean to yank your tail."

"Ah, and you were looking for this, I believe." He crouches down, pushing away some of the leafy branches, to show a somewhat stunted-looking patch of flowers below. Buds are forming on most of the tendrils, but only one or two are starting to unfurl small white petals.

"These are new...."

"Give 'em a whiff. I'm rather fond myself, though it's no catmint."

She leans in, giving a delicate sniff.

The scent is faint, with the promise of more to come should the flowers bloom. Delicate and floral without being cloying - reminiscent of some fine green teas...

"Sir, did you grow these?" hesays after taking a light sniff himself

"Oh, I know that smell. Tea? Is it a tea flower?"

"Oh, yes. You can tell by the dirt underneath my claws." He examines his nails - rather well maintained, and with no such speck. "Partial to tiger-lilies myself, though I did do a study of flowers, at a time, when there was a lady who was enamoured of arrangements...."

He leans over to snuff a whiff of the scent himself. "Ah, it reminds me of her perfume. These need a bit more light, though. Sun, a small pot... and it's a gift that will grow, rather than fade away, mrrr?"

"Her perfume?"

"Smart, Vince. Yes! A gift that won't die."

An amused look over to Sparrow, and he grins to Colton. "Surely you recognize the young lady of, oh, was it only a few nights ago?" Gesturing to the tiny blooms.

"oh, Jasmine!!"

"Fair and young, and just starting to bloom, ah, to be at the cusp of wilderhood again, rather than a dotard in my old age..." His voice quavers.

A snort. "Yes. A dotard."

"Oh, yes. Why, waking up some mornings, I can scarcely walk. And me, once the spryest Tom in the alley."

A raised brow, "Grizzalion the Alley Tat?"

"It's a wonder you survive." She grins. "So - you had a good carnival?"

"Oh, definitely up in my top three. And you, not savaged by the Ladyhawk, I presume?"

Coughs into his hand

She sighs happily, settling down on the grass. Wings curl gently around her, and she absently preens at her banded feathers. "Oh, I'm afraid I got terribly distracted for a while there. Have you met Jennette yet? She's..."

"Well. She's a good friend."

He gives a grin over to Colton. "Sorry, didn't mean to talk over you, lad." He offers a hand to the Troll. "Or is it Sir?"

"Or perhaps, Disco Stu?"

"He'll be a Sir soon enough, I think. Assuming he doesn't slack off."

"Ah, SIR Disco Stu."

"Colton, Vince, Vince, Colton. Cole's my squire. No house yet, but that's no unheard of with common knights."

"Sorry, Good pooka, I... guess I was thinking some Jasmine for her would be perfect."

"Oh, how fitting. I was just thinking. Good Squire, you have heard of Murphy's Law, haven't you?"

Sitting up, and giving the lad his full attention.
