Okay, that's enough...but if they're watching her, then she's putting Delores at risk. Well, there's at least a use for that paper if she can find a pen....

So she writes a note: Please call this number (Bachdion's #) and tell him to "look in on Chloe." She takes $300 and folds the cash and note together as small as she can.

When she palms it to him,, he mutters "I could get in trouble for this... but..geez. Three hundred? I.. uhm.. guess they never said I couldn't ..." he calls "Hey...yeah you need to look in on Chloe. Nobody. I'm nobody." then he hangs up. Meanwhile, she finds herself facing... five figures.

The five figures include one of the most lovely creatures she's ever seen that is not Sidhe. pale, thin and long of limb. In fae mien, his ears draw up into long points, his eyes are opalescent, and his skin seems almost to glow softly in the light of the moon. his voice is musical and sweet, even when uttering the most awful words.

"Hello, Coradel. Such a shame I did not catch you before you awakened, but do not worry, you'll join me soon, it just takes more work."

She's impressed with the appearance...but that's about it. "Does it? What a shame for you. Where is Delores?"

A green skinned goblin, lookling like a knocker, has a dart gun with an extra carbine "Can Itrank her? huh huh?"

A huge blue twisted mockery of a true troll, snorts, "Smell too sweet, but bones probably tastey."

She GLARES at each of them in turn, hands on hips.

"As for Delores..." A redcap wearing balor colors shoves her forward. Bruised and tied up. There is another figure behind them a confused and bound young child, "Please"

She's angry at Delores's appearance, but her eyes go wide at the sight of the child. "Who is this?"

"Now? The child is a larvae, a pupae, unaware of the fae soul inside. Unawakened and so vulnerable to my power. I can take what was to be kithain, and twist it to be...sevartal my own people. Now, we will knock you unconicous, remove your glamour, and remake you too. You will be a worthy servant to the Shadow Court. and the true powers behind it."

The goblin loads the dart gun and prepares to fire, only to have Delores kick both her legs back into the goblin's leg, causing it to shoot early and hit the ogre in the ass! "OW!

With a silent thought of thanks to Delores, Coradel shakes her bow-bracelet into her hand and as it magnifies in size she draws and aims at the sevartal, fires, draws again before the first shot lands, fires at the goblin. (tell me what I need to roll here)

BIC: She fires hitting the Sevartal in the chest. Even his cry of pain is musical. The Goblin has to reload buying her arrow a chance to catch it in the arm "Damn it" The Redcap snarls "Forget changing her, let's just kill her and stop the prophecy. The Count will put who we tell him on the throne!" The cap bites at her, cutting her shoulder, blood flows from the shallow nip. Good thing it didn't get deeper

Close-quarters fighting, so she shakes away the bow and instead switches to her sword, turning and slicing at the neck of the thing that just bit her.

The redcap is not playing nice, and the Severtal casts something, thorny briars break through the earth to trap around her legs. While she cuts the Cap badly, he returns the favor. "No no no, " The Severatal yanks the cap back "She is to be twisted. We knock her out, make her unaware, and then maybe I can change her!"

The ogre has passed out from having a tranq in his ass

"It will not happen!" She points at the Cap and yells, "Surrender!" ((Dictum, 2 sux))

The Redcap curses and drops to one knee.

"Enough!" The Severtal moves to the unchrystlaised child, "Fine. A choice of a different sort."

"And you!" She yells quickly, "You shall not hurt, you shall not harm, you shall not threaten, you shall not charm....LIE DOWN SILENTLY!" Another try at Dictum. ((again, 2 sux))

And the creature laughs, LAUGHS " I am just as noble as thee, oh baroness not yet a baroness. You have no power over me."

"Now, this child is about to become just like me... unless you wish to surrender, and join me instead? Five stars fell, this child is one of them. But for you? I will let the star go."

A startled look at the child, then her expression goes grim. She gestures to the Cap on his knees beside her. "I have one of yours to be harmed. Or does that not matter to you."

"It doesnt. That is why my kind is superior to the sidhe. You see these subects as...if you were obligated to them. A true leader sees his lessers for what they are." He hisses, "As tools." he strokes the girl's hair.

"Fine, then." She slices off the head of the Cap almost as an afterthought, barely looking away from the servatal. "One tool you won't have to worry about maintaining. As for the child...certainly, take me. You won't succeed in turning me. Release the child, release the boggan. I will go as your unwilling captive."

"I think I'd have you swear"

"Would you. To what, exactly?"

"To keeping your word." the insult to her honor , this BEAST daring to slur her? Hmmph.

She sneers. "I've given you no word. I will be your prisoner. I never said I'd be a cooperative one."

Then suddenly Bachdion appears with a rapier in hand startling the creature. "Whay'd I miss?"

"Get them away!" And she charges the servatal.

...sword in hand.

The two exchange blows the severtal flicking out his own blade.

Bachdion curses, "I'm supposed to rescue you I don't even.. oh hell." He cuts the bonds on the child

"DO IT!" she yells to the satyr, fighting fiercely.

He gestures to Delores "Hang on Delores... Boggan Begone! Back to Hearth and Flame! By Butterworth, by Mr. Clean, by Charmin's name!" /Delores relaizes what he's doing "DOn't you leave her to fight alone you goat legged son of a ..." And flickerflash she's gone

Some corner of Coradel's mind is aware that Delores is safe, but she can't spare any attention to check the status of the others. She does know that the ogre is merely down for now...who knows when the tranq will wear off.

Coradel gets blade in her gut "See? Compassion equals vulnerablity! I had hoped to make you a bride, but I cannot let you live. And YOU, Satyr? I dictum THEE not to lay blade nor hand nor hoof nor horn upon me!"

Bachdion was about to thrust in, but finds himself stalled

The shock of the blade in her gut stops her short with a gasp...but it also means she's in range to drive her own blade through the servatal's neck.

The blade does not cut through entirely, but it does slice and slit it. The beautiful monster falls back gurgling. Then he claps his hand to his throat to keep it from falling out, and ..takes flight! Soaring up into the night. shooting a look of pure hate as he retreats

A victorious smile...followed by the recollection that she's been told how incredibly painful gut wounds are, and the revelation that these stories have not been lies. She looks to Bachdion as she clutches her stomach. "Where's the child?"
