And Farragut steps back and snarls... only to step onto August's sword. Just the hilt. No harm there.. but it's not stable, and it IS near the ledge... and Fate... fate always wins really, Karma is a predator that is patient and oppurtunistic, and Zara put it on the hunt but a minute ago. Farragut loses footing, the sword skitters forward on the trod, but the Ex Rover? He falls back... off the Silver...

"What a story your fall will be! Oh Tarnished Knight of the Lost Way" THe Eshu grins with delight, as the Grue.. swarm!

It must be said that That Faragut fights them... but the Grue are many and carry him further and further away from the silver... where he will most likely be devoured, or at least lost for a long long time.

Thus it was that Farragut the Failed, Traitor to Rover ways, was felled by August's sword, and a few soft words from a witch.

August watches with an openly agonized expression. He looks for his sword.....

His sword lays there, more to the center of the silver than he and Zara are. Though both ARE Safe.

A huff!

Ruzgarla watches, "I hope, mists forgiving, I remember every part of this."

August dashes to the sword and grabs it, standing to see if he can lob it to the troll.

Zara pats his arm and shakes her head. Fate has spoken.

"He HAS his staff to fight with my lord, if that doesn't help him, your sword certainly won't" Ruzgarla points out

The Sidhe looks stricken as he lowers his blade, still watching.

A gestural indication that he chose this, with a sniff.

"You are a good man, Baron, but your blade maybe needed to rescue the innocent, rather than absolve the guilty" Ruzgarla says sadly "That is the way of things. We must all of us, choose who to pull from the fire first, even if we're brave enough to leap into it"

And Fargaut , alive or dead, is out of view

August sheaths his blade, and turns away from the side of the Path, looking in their direction of travel.

Taking that as a clue, Ruzgarla nods and starts north and east again "This way, Baron."

A smile "And MIss Zara" And she starts to walk.

Another reassuring pat for August, and she walks.

August follows, but then moves up to take point again.

The Eshu defers, but only a by a little, clearly her feet pull her.

The terrain shifts... and grows more full of rivers and wood... and is a bit colder, though still in summer range. August at the lead sees something, Chimerical blood on the silver up ahead.

The other two are not far behind

He holds up a graceful hand, indicating caution, and loosens his blade before moving forward again.

Zara falls behind August, allowing him to lead.

There blood stains are sprinklled about

Zara crouches, getting a good look (and sniff)

Kithain, some kithain has been wounded, but ..

(Perception plus Survival for any and all)

Zara can't tell if they lived or died and were pulled off the trod.

The Eshu says "We should go on I think?"

"I agree." but he looks to see what Zara thinks.\

She shrugs and nods. She's got nuthin'

"Onward." and August suits action to his words.
