August's blade, capable of rapid speed strikes, seems to be ready for any trouble

As , it seems, does August himself!

Zara is alert, her eyes a solid black by now, without visible sclera, and hands and feet webbed.

Indeed, NOW they are in the farther dreaming, not the deepest, but feeling more Fae and less mortal

Those with no memory of past lives find very vague recollections. Those with vague recollections find them more in reach and detailed.

Old dreams - very old ones, when she's so close to August, the last time their lives touched.

Though there was, of course, also a river...

Oh yes, she can almost hear it

August is glorious, shining, commanding. He leads them on, northward.

The Eshu almost pouts at not being the one to take the lead, but ... mi lord IS so very commanding, she looks to the sluagh "The Marchlord is ... impressive."

A wry, silent smile.

OFF the silver, there Circular gate and it whispers to them "WOuldst though save time? I can send you back in time itself, battles of old, events of history.... and then you appear anywhere you want.. .step to me and see"

A VERY wistful sigh.

The Eshu listens and grins "It would work too. IF we survived, we could find ourselves transported through right to the doorsteps where we need to be"

She mouths a soundless 'feh.'

"Spoilsport" Rüzgarla says "A bit of boldness could make this an adventure fit for a saga"

She mimes tapping a wristwatch. Wait.

August simply shakes his head in the negative, and of course, who would want to use such a trick off the Silver if HE doesn't think it wise?

Though it IS so shiny. Alas.

And so they stay on the silver, and wind about. They do not enter the Deep Dreaming, but it curves and twists.. forking North West and North East

She looks at the Eshu at the fork.

She says with confidence "East... and again, some other Eshu is ahead of us. I feel it."

August nods, his voice (when he speaks, which is not often) is low and mellifluous; soothing "Then east, and if Da'an wishes we'll meet your kithmate." And he leads them in that direction.

They travel on and on, the visages become more akin to northern lands, the scent of Apples nearby. They see a Sphinx with sunglasses and a Sandwich board sign RUNNING OUT OF RIDDLE MATERIAL: EVERYONE KNOWS THE ANSWER IS MAN. REWARD FOR NEW RIDDLE I HAVEN"T HEARD BEFORE. PLEASE HELP! DREAMING ECONOMY IN A SLUMP!

A grin!

August gives her a wonderful look; kind, caring, beneficent; "Would you like to take a moment here?" he offers gently.

Zara shakes her head, but merriment lurks in those dark eyes.

The Eshu looks tempted "Have one you want to share, my lord?"

"Nothing that could out-do Mistress Zara."

The Sphinx sighs as they move by, "Best I got is what state's tall in the middle and round at both ends. You got it, right? Yeah... you know that one too" SIGH

"Ohio, I think" Rüzgarla says as they pass by.

"SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHHHH* can be hard as they keep on going

Her shoulders shake with silent laughter.

Rüzgarla whispers low, testing out a future story, "Cruelly did the river witch laugh over the downed foe, even though she was not the one who downed, for the dreaming can be merciless" She tries another one "As ever, the learned she -sage noticed how a lack of education only leads to discontentment..."

She glanced back at August, "The Highlord was too noble to use the commoner women to slake his lust... and yet, his eyes fell on them often." A grin

The faintest shadow of expression passes over his countenance, suggesting he finds the comment in bad taste.

She sighs "Spoilsports the lot of you"
