The Silver is a funny place, a wonderful place, a dangerous place, and Rüzgarla walks it with a smile on her face. THey have not changed much yet, but already they feel more their selves. Even Zara with her illusion feels more sluaghesque

And August begins to shine in blue and silver

Zara fusses, frets, and pulls the bracelet off.

For a moment, the bracelet fights to stay on ,trying to hold onto her, tightening as if it has a JOB to do...but Zara knows thread work AND squirms. She slips it off. It writhes a bit trying to get back on her wrist, but she looks like herself again

She tucks it away in a pocket. She shouldn't feel guilty, but she does. She's gone soft.

Even in the DREAMING it is Deep Summer. Hurumph

August is more confident than in the mortal world; he shines brighter, more focused of purpose, with greater dedication to his mission.

The three already make a grand trio for the storybooks. Around them, off the Silver, they see ash statuary somehow holding together in patriotic tableu, and bright stars that , noiselessly, explode like fireworks then reform in new patterns. The left overs of the 4th no doubt

A giant Bald Eagle is being chased by a giant hawk, the hawk is yelling "GIve me back my scream, you swindler!"

"NOPE" Says the eagle then KIYAAAAS

"Ah, the hawk dub over Eagle footage scandal, truly, one America's shames" Rüzgarla tuts

"Eagles make very sweet sounds to each other. Like frogs."

"But those rarely make the movies" The Eshu smiles

August, chimerical compass in hand (Be Prepared) leads the ladies north.

North!

And north they go, the compass helping, though the Eshu scoffs just a little at it.

Eventually, the images change... the side scenes shifting... less patrotic, other things at work.

And, they are not feelling the firchlis yet, but they are getting ever so deeper into the Dreaming

The Eshu moves along "I'm not the only Eshu to go this way.. I feel it"

Zara is silent as the grave, this deep in the Dreaming, speech is hard to summon - but she listens, and nods.

"Danger?" August asks in a murmur, loosening his blade in the sheath.

"I don't know" The Eshu admits "There is danger, this is a story after all, but I don't know if it is immediate. Let's keep ready but keep going, my lord"
