"No shame in having a favorite but i find if you try all sorts of crafting worse that happens is you find out what your favorites are for cerrtain" She nods "oh, would you like me to get rid of the spirits? Or let your giantess friend die gloriously? " A whisper "Hope you don't mind me saying, but for a troll she seems a might high strung"

"Can we stop the zombie army, please?"

Brighid says "We'll do it nocker style, kind of" SHe turns to the spirits "Did you lot die of brainrot? Were ye purged in a keep the world intelligent project? Did your mothers get so blinded by the crimson lights they were working under that they dropped you on your heads as babies?" And it gets MEANER from there... until the spirits begin to combust.. the wise ones flee.. the taunting is too much

"HA!"

Thistle joins in!

The spirits are soon burned off, in one sense or another!

"Did I just witness a war crime?" Gladiola mutters

"Oh let us have our fun, Daireann" Brighid pats Thistle on the back

CHIME! Citrine blows a raspberry at the retreating spirits.

"Oh well, isn't she a fine bit of work" Brighid looks over at Citrine and seems to grow a bit enthralled "Ah, yes... I see.. worked with the musculature instead of trying to over write"

"Citrine's mostly herself. I just did a bit of tinkering."

'oh yes, lots of sass and spark " The goddess seems to approve, then says "So Persephone gave you the candle I left with her. And here I am all ready for a drink and chat about a book. Ah well, at least it's entertaining. More to the story than I've heard. Come, let's go before Arawn sends more annoyances. He'll not tangle with me lightly so he'll likely leave you be, but a good story is what will keep me walking you home. Assuming ye want to go home?"

While not a masterful teller, the nocker doesn't furk it up!

"I'm here to haul Rocky's stony arse home. She fell in."

And Gwen gets to hear what Thistle got up to!

"Holy snot, you built something for Hades so he could wow his queen?" Gwen says "Okay. I hope we remember this, because that's got to be a feather in your cap crafts wise"

"Aye, Persy and I go way back" Brighid says "And she knows quality. Good on ye there. Mind you, I don't know what she sees in her husband sometimes. Man barely smiles. But love is love I suppose"

A brief flush of pink on her cheeks and she shrugs. "Don't think you really pick, y'know? It happens."

"He smiles for her."

Gladiola sighs a bit sappy herself. She is still a teenager

Brighid chuckles, but not unkindly "Aye. And it can inspire one, can't it? well, your story impresses me enough to get you home. Arawn will be cranky, but my power is greater than his, for a poem or fine hammer can last several life times long after the maker has passed. Also, and he hates this, but I'm much more popular. That counts for a bit."

"Well, maybe if he weren't a jagoff..."

"Oh he has his moments, he's not always the bad guy..." Then quietly she says "Does sometimes come across as a jagoff "a wink "Now... let's pick up this string ... wrap it about us.. and give it a pull" there's a sudden sensation of a shifting and YOIK...

they find themselves at the very local Thistle first came through

"Oh, hey!"

"Oh neat" Gwen says

"Aye... " She gestures up "Through the ..." She gives the string a swirl, and now it looks like a rope ladder, "A climb up. And you lead the lands of the forgotten gods. O course, we may be only the face of the gods, a mask each of us... other realms having other parts of the divine? Who is to know? now...afore ye go? Are you up for another challenge? Fine if you're not"

A hint of a grin, and she look sat Gwen. "What do you think?"

Gwen admits "My daireann side has her pride pricked and doesn't want ot be seen as a wimp. THe troll side says haven't we faced enough danger on a simple book hunt?" She looks at her friend "But you saved ME. so I think you get the deciding vote"

"But cool Fire-craft-goddess!"

"Ahhh I'm a flutter" The goddess says

Gladiola looks at her friend, then says to Brighid "If we don't take you up on it, she's gonna be sulky. What's the challenge?"

"I can be surly even when I'm in a good mood, thankyouverymuch."

The goddess nods"Well, if I wanted to be mean I'd tell Thistle she had to make me a poem, while you had to craft something there, Dame Gladiola. But how about this... a mortal poem of any sort you think is good, either of you, and a drinking vessel . I want something to show off at the book club"

"Oh, that is a good challenge. Rocky, get on the wordsmithery."

Gwen's jaw drops open, then she admits "Well, not like I could make the drinking vessel"

"Please, like a Darieann can't boast. Just, y'know, focus it on something awesome. Write about Cerberus, he's a dog."

"You got it" She says

"That's in your comfort zone, is all I'm sayin'."

"Good stretch."

Gwen gives a brow lift, "It's the league we're in that worries me"

"While she works on that..." Brighid says, and Gwen vanishes... "Let's get you started..." Brighid smiles and pulls out a tinder box . There's an odd feeling, and Thistle finds herself turning to smoke and pouring in

"What th'farbllleeeeeeessssssss?" She's poofed!

And finds herself so small that she's IN the tinder box... and in there with her is all the equipment she'd need.

Outside she can see a giant eye looking at her, of citrine hue "Chime?"

A shrug. "Listen, the Dreaming is just weird, yo."

"I'm good, I got tools."
