"Frankly I'm not sure when the holidays STOP " Clem looks over the jewish calender "I mean Purim ends with Sushin Purim which overlaps at the start of Pesach and ... wait, these two after that are only in Israel right?"

Earl looks at her amused "Sure you don't want to talk to Chase's kinain kinfolk about this? Or maybe Zara?"

"Earl, I want to look like I know what I'm doing in front of them. " She huffs

"But not your favorite cousin?" He asks faux offended

"If I worried about what COUSINS thought of me I'd get nothing done. Now, how are the dates calculated?"

"How are they calculated?" Earl arches a brow "YOu mean there's a system? I just listen for Zara to tell me they're coming up"

Clem groans and Earl hides a smile

Poor Earl has been set on cleaning chametz. Passover is soon!

"Look, Passover aka Pesach, is soon. It's a big one. But the good news is you're probably more familiar with it than you think that's to Zara. But the rest I can pass onto you" He nods

"And Zara won't learn?" Clem looks hopeful

"Clem, I've probably got at least two spiders on me somewhere" he reminds "Remember? Zara had Emmit make exceptions for them with the wards?"

Clem groans

One spider, a sassier one, can't help but play on a web strand the tune from Fiddler on the Roof.

"Zara's spies are getting snarky" Clem grumbles

"Shhh, I didn't even know she could play," He says to the spider "Very nice!"

"AHEM" Clem says "You know what, since she's gonna learn about anyway" She looks to the spider, waits for the tune to finish and says "Would you please pass onto Miss Zara that she is welcome to visit me for tea soon, but I am likely to take advantage of her expertise?"

"What happened to asking me?" Earl asks

Clem says "You can come for tea, but I don't need to learn about eggs from the fox when the chicken is in it anyway"

Earl blinks "Never thought of myself as a Fox" He replies

"Well, you went into her nest, all innocent she was, and seized her..." Clem tuts at him

"Seized her?" he says

"Defiled that poor innocent..." Clem continues

"Oh come on, her nickname around here is the 'corrupter'" Earl protests

"How dare?" Clem actually hides her enjoyment now "How DARE you cast such slander on one of my best friends?"

"She and I are OATHED" he reminds incredulous

"And THIS is how you treat her good name? Shame, sir, SHAME" Clem wags a finger at him

Earl sighs "You're enjoying this."

"Miss having you around to pick on is all" She smiles and musses his hair

"Look, why don't I ask Zara if you and Chase and Buck too if he likes, join us for Passover? her parents are often open to guests, and it's the best education there is." He suggests

Clem brightens "If it's no trouble... "A pause "They aren't gonna talk baseball.. are they? " for a moment the she troll gets the thousand yard stare known to occur to soldiers who have seen some serious shit

Earl says "Just lay low if it starts and you'll be fine" he assures

"Uh huh" Clem says "Well, see if she thinks it would be okay with her and with her folks, please"

"I will" he nods
