Clem smiles "Well done, Sylvi. Now come on... Miss Evergreen has a gift for you" And she leads her on "Don't worry, it's NOT fertility"

Momentary alarm at the very notion that Clem then dispels. "Ohhh-kay?"

But whatever that gift is, well, will have to wait for another time

(End scene..for now)

The gift in question? Turns out to be a delicate weaving of hairs... so perfectly braided together that it is hard to tell where one ends and the other begins, with dried flowers still bearing color interwoven as well

"Oh...Miss Evergreen, it's beautiful." Sylvi holds the delicately crafted work carefully in both hands.

It feels familar... "I hope so, it's your hair from past visits mixed with Lanark's trimmings... I used spring to grow them long again, then wove them together with local wild flowers"

Sylvi's eyes grow wide as she appreciates this gift in a new light. She turns it to admire from multiple angles. "I had no idea you were collecting hairs from me." She doesn't sound like she minds, given the result.

"I didn't bring a gift for you," she apologizes.

"Well, you did trim it that one time on vacation and I enjoy counting things, even hairs so... there you go. Why, you're even friend with a hare" Miss Evergreen smiles sweetly at her pun

A smile in return.

Long but easily connected into a circle if one wishes. Two braids conjoined, flowers laced through out. She must have put some work to things because it's a good ten inches in length over all

"Has Lanark seen it? If not, I'd like to show it to him."

"Please do. He may have seen me gathering hairs when his mane was trimmed but perhaps not"

"Thank you again. Is there anything I can offer you in return?"

She ponders this rather than waving it off immediately

Sylvi waits quietly, enjoying her company.

The pretty woman with the warm smile finally brightens "Yes, yes there is something you can do. Please. Your choice, either one dozen new england leaves in full color, or an acorn or other tree seed from Rivervale lands."

"When you have the time" She asks

A happy smile. "Gladly. It'll be a few weeks yet before either of those are really ready, but I'll be happy to collect those for you." A pause. "Can I hug you?"

"Of course, I LOVE hugs" Miss Evergreen says warmly. She's a rather friendly inaminae

And Sylvi gives her a long and heart-felt hug.

She smells of all the best trees and grains on a warm spring breeze

The hug is returned , when they part the Kubera says "Don't worry. The braid flower chain is the only gift I gave you today. I've learned to restrain myself since the caesar incident"

Ah yes. One male satyr, three DeBuke Kinian. Seven kids

An emphatic "Thank you. I'm not ready for that kind of gift, yet. So not ready."

She bids farewell to Miss Evergreen, and heads over to Lanark's paddock.

Lanark has his own space, most younger horses know to avoid the old crank

but for her? he perks just a bit

She stops and signs: Come. See.

He turns, ears in a position showing curiosity, and walks over at a relaxed pace

She holds out the braided ornament where he'll be able to sniff it. "It's you and me," she explains.

Surprise! Rare in a horse who has done a lot of 'been there, done that'. Another sniff.

And he gives a bit of a blow a sign he's pleased at this

"Miss Evergreen made it." She knows Lanark isn't likely to understand all the words, but that doesn't really matter. "She collected hair from you and me. I'm going to keep it in my room where I can see it, when I can't visit."

A tail swish as if saying but you WILL still visit some yes?

she swears the horse almost has troll brow

"I'll still visit," she reassures him. "I...I'm sorry I haven't visited more. You're okay, though, right?"

The old horse snorts, this time as if the question is silly. He's Lanark, a fae horse, and he plans on being around and being fine a while yet.

And he even bumps her with his head, lightly

That gets a bit of a laugh. "Okay. I guess I'm being silly." She pets his nose. "Hey, I finished my chores. You up for a ride?"

At that, he turns away from her. Not in a sign of refusal, but an offer to put the saddle on already!

She carefully puts the braided ornament away, and soon she's got Lanark all saddled and ready to go.

And out of the gate she rides, she and Lanark. She's a tall woman (despite Clem's teasings) but on the back of Lanark? She feels like she could lift a hand and grab sky! She feels... like everything makes sense.
