As she begins to arm herself, Sylvi notices a shadow looming down on her. A childling on the roof, ready to snipe her with a water baloon. It would appear the war is fair game outdoors

As soon as she grabs a water balloon, she turns and lobs it at the would-be sniper.

These kids, while enthusiastic, lack the skill of a true veteran! WHOP! Goes the balloon

"AWww" the boy says

"Good shot" he admits, drenched

She then does a dive roll to a new spot, in case somebody else is aiming at her. When she gets to her feet, she lunges to grab a few more balloons and then moves behind a tree.

She was wise to roll, another splatters where she was... she darts behind a tree

Heidi can be heard "Get the grown up!"

"War criminal!" she yells an accusation in reply, and launches a balloon at Heidi.

Heidi is a nimble trouble maker, and what should have been a sure shot misses as the girl dives for her own cover. however she still gets a lot of 'splat' from the Splash radius!

"Am not!" Heidi calls back

One troll boy, with two balloons in his hand , charges towards Sylvi . Clearly he is seelie and believes the closer he gets before attack, the more honorable

"We're gonna have to review the rules of engagement, then," she responds, then Hopscotches up to a branch just as the boy gets in range...and drops a balloon on him.

SPLUSH!

The boy is defeated , and lays down crossing his hand over his heart faking death "Lo, I go to see my fathers"

"Rules?" another girl says "Heidi, did you break a rule?" In that 'ahem' tone young DeBuke girls practice so they can use it in later years

"Truce!" Sylvi calls out. "Everybody in!" She drops down from the tree.

When honorable surrender, or for that matter, a proper offer of peace is made, the Code of Dadga requires it be considered, the kids stop and huddle about Sylvi

"Okay...who went over the rules with all of you before you started?"

"Stay off the HIGH roofs" The boy on the lower roof says

"If someone drops their glasses, you gotta let them pick it up" Says another "THEN you can hit em"

The rules go on... and then.. someone says "Stay out of the kitchen with your tomfoolery"

Heidi winces at that one but puts on a big fake grin

Sylvi nods at the list of rules, and then points at the one who mentions the kitchen. "Ah ha! Now...do you know why you stay out of the kitchens?"

"Because otherwise we get drafted to clean it" one kinain says rather honestly

"That's part of it. But these are war games, which means practice for real warfare. If you're going to be honorable, non-combatants are never targets. Got it?"

Most of them nod. Some as if it's obvious, duh. Others more like 'sure' and a few looking sheepish

One unseelie boy says "What if they look funny?"

"Not a good enough reason to attack them, unless they're clearly part of the conflict. After all, if you decide any of their people are fair game, then they might decide that your loved ones are valid targets, too."

"And whether or not that makes sense to you...no making a mess in the kitchen," she reiterates firmly, looking directly at Heidi.

Heidi is clearly unseelie beccause she nods and turns to another kid near her "You heard her. Not the kitchen"

"I didn't" the boy protests feeling picked on

"Well good' Heidi nods, then says to Sylvi "They understand now"

A brow at Heidi. "Now, who is going to do the right thing and help the Hearth clean up?"

(Manipulation plus Leadership or Persuasion)

"After all..." she adds "...that's the sort of thing a true leader would do, to make sure the errors of their people are resolved."

"I'll do it" Hedi says

"Me too" Another boy says. No guilt for him just clearly he thinks this is admirable

Sylvi nods approval. "Let's go." She leads the two back towards the kitchen, saying, "Carry on!" to the others.

A water balloon hits her when she starts to walk off "You forgot to say you were a non combatant when you said 'carry on'"

GRINS all around

"Hey! Currently on a diplomatic mission here! But point made. I'm out!" She salutes them and squeezes some water out of her shirt as she continues toward the kitchen.

And soon, two 'volunteers' are put to work, with a nod of approval from Kourtney "I have just the job for you" she hands Heidi a mop for excess water, and then gives a slightly easier job for the boy . Justice of a sort

Sylvi grins at Kourtney, and nods approval at the two as they get to work. "Very respectable. Good work."
